Dimensions of Mobile Box Toilets

Admin September 20, 2026

The dimensions of mobile box toilets vary significantly depending on their type and design. Here are the common size ranges:

  1. Container-Type Mobile Toilets
Some container-type mobile toilets are modified from standard shipping containers, with dimensions close to those of freight containers. For example, a common design measures 6.5 meters in length, 3.5 meters in width, and 3.1 meters in height, with six toilet stalls, three urinals, and two sinks inside, suitable for high-traffic public areas. Another large container toilet can be up to 12 meters long and 3.5 meters wide, with the front of the toilet sloping inward by 1 meter to form a porch, optimizing space utilization. Additionally, custom-made container toilets can be even larger, such as 14 meters long, 3 meters wide, and 2.8 meters high, with adjustable interior layouts based on specific needs.

  2. Single-Stall Independent Mobile Toilets
Small independent mobile toilets are typically designed with a single stall and have compact exterior dimensions. Their length generally ranges from 1.2 to 1.5 meters, width from 1.0 to 1.2 meters, and height from 2.2 to 2.5 meters. These toilets are suitable for temporary events, construction sites, and other scenarios with limited space. They contain only one squat or sit toilet, and some models may be equipped with a simple sink.

  3. Multi-Stall Mobile Toilet Units
Mobile toilet units with two or more stalls have correspondingly larger dimensions. For example, a two-stall unit may measure between 2.4 and 3.0 meters in length, while maintaining a width of 1.0 to 1.2 meters and a height similar to that of single-stall units. This design achieves a multi-stall layout through horizontal expansion, making it suitable for medium-sized crowds while maintaining ease of transportation and installation.

  4. Large Modular Mobile Toilets
Some large modular mobile toilets feature a modular design, with larger dimensions and more comprehensive functions. Their length can exceed 6 meters, width can exceed 2.5 meters, and height may exceed 3 meters depending on the configuration. These toilets can be divided into multiple independent stalls inside, equipped with barrier-free facilities, management rooms, etc., suitable for long-term use in scenic spots, transportation hubs, and other locations.

Summary: When choosing the dimensions of a mobile box toilet, it is essential to consider the usage scenario, foot traffic density, and functional requirements. Small independent units are suitable for temporary or space-constrained environments, container-type and multi-stall units are ideal for high-traffic public areas, while large modular units can meet long-term, multi-functional needs.
