Mobile Balcony Toilet
It is not advisable to transform a balcony into a mobile toilet, as there are multiple issues involved.

Load-Bearing Issues
Balconies are designed with specific load-bearing capacities based on particular usage needs and standards. Installing a toilet and various bathroom fixtures on a balcony will significantly increase its load. The balcony floor and structure may not be able to withstand this additional weight, and over time, this could lead to the collapse of the balcony, posing a serious threat to the safety of the occupants.
Sewage Disposal Difficulties
The sewage system on a balcony is typically different from that of an indoor bathroom, with differences in pipe design and diameter that may not meet the sewage disposal requirements of a toilet. This can lead to frequent clogging of the toilet, which can be very troublesome to clear. Not only does this affect normal usage, but it can also cause damage to the balcony's drainage system.
Waterproofing Problems
Simply waterproofing the balcony is far from sufficient. During toilet use, water may splash to all corners of the balcony and even into the living room. Moreover, the balcony floor is relatively thin, and water can easily seep into the apartment below, leading to disputes with neighbors. Additionally, the walls near the balcony are prone to mold growth due to moisture, affecting the aesthetics and health of the indoor environment.
Impact on Ventilation and Lighting
Transforming a balcony into a toilet will occupy the space originally used for ventilation and lighting, resulting in poor air circulation in the home, making it damp and dark, and producing a musty smell. Furthermore, there will be no place to hang clothes for drying, causing significant inconvenience in daily life.
Odor Issues
Toilets produce odors during use. If there are people in the living room, it can be very embarrassing when someone uses the toilet or takes a shower, and the unpleasant smell can affect the comfort of living.
Although mobile toilets have advantages such as mobility, diverse disposal methods, and a small footprint, these advantages do not apply to the scenario of transforming a balcony into a mobile toilet. Therefore, considering safety, practicality, and living comfort, it is not recommended to transform a balcony into a mobile toilet.
