Minyuan Mobile Toilet
Admin September 21, 2026
There are mainly two types of mobile toilets in Minyuan Square: 'Vehicle Public Toilets' and mobile toilets refitted from buses, with certain differences in their usage.

Types and Characteristics of Mobile Toilets
- 'Vehicle Public Toilets': During the May Day holiday, the Urban Management Committee of Heping District brought two 'Vehicle Public Toilets' into Minyuan Square. Each 'Vehicle Public Toilet' has approximately 10 toilet stalls and can serve more than 3,000 visitors throughout the day. In terms of sanitation and cleaning, the cleaning staff conducts high-frequency disinfection of the toilet bowls, door handles, and faucets every half hour to ensure a hygienic environment. These toilets have better sealing than traditional ones, with closed doors and windows that effectively prevent odor from escaping. Additionally, they are fully equipped with tissues, hand soap, and hand dryers. When the weather gets warmer, the staff will turn on the air conditioning in advance to provide a comfortable experience for visitors.
- Mobile Toilets Refitted from Buses: The Urban Appearance and Gardening Committee of Heping District purchased two large vehicle-mounted mobile toilets for use. One is permanently located opposite the Health Bureau Kindergarten at the intersection of Dali Road and Hengyang Road outside Minyuan Square, while the other is mainly placed at the intersection of Hubei Road and Chongqing Road and can be used as a mobile emergency facility during temporary major events. These vehicles are refitted from buses and are fully equipped with squatting stalls, urinals, and sinks. As vehicle-mounted eco-friendly toilets, they consume only 0.5 liters of water per use and are equipped with a water recycling tank. The vacuum piping system effectively blocks odors. The entire vehicle is also equipped with exhaust, lighting, and temperature control systems. Inside, in addition to basic facilities such as coat hooks, tissue boxes, and grab bars, there are also user-friendly features like hand dryers, baby changing stations, multimedia, and smart facilities, and even a television.
Usage Situation
During the May Day holiday, the usage of restrooms in Minyuan Square varied. There was basically no queuing at the men's restrooms, while the queuing situation at the women's restrooms was relatively severe. Some visitors were unaware that there were also women's restrooms downstairs. Outside the square, there are fixed unisex public toilets and movable vehicle toilets located on the south side of the square where the restroom pressure is relatively low, and there are fewer people queuing at these two public toilets.
