Methods for Making Prefabricated Beams in Houses

Admin September 18, 2026

The methods for making prefabricated beams in houses vary depending on the type. Here are the production processes for common types of prefabricated beams:

Production Process for Prefabricated T-Beams

  1. Construction Preparation: Clear and level the construction site to ensure the environment meets requirements. Prepare necessary materials such as steel bars and concrete, as well as construction equipment like formwork and cranes. At the same time, conduct technical briefings and safety training for construction personnel.
  2. Rib Plate Reinforcement: Process and bind the rib plate reinforcement according to design requirements. Ensure that the specifications, quantity, and spacing of the reinforcement meet design standards, and that the connection methods are firm and reliable.
  3. Side Formwork Installation: Accurately install the side formwork at the designated position, and fix and adjust it to ensure the perpendicularity and flatness of the side formwork, preventing formwork shifting or bulging during concrete pouring.
  4. Concrete Construction: Use an appropriate concrete mix ratio, mix the concrete evenly, and then pour it into the formwork using conveying equipment. During pouring, vibrate in layers to ensure concrete density and avoid quality issues such as honeycombing or pitting.
  5. Formwork Removal and Chiseling: When the concrete reaches a certain strength, remove the formwork. After formwork removal, chisel the surface of the beam to increase the bond strength between new and old concrete.
  6. Positive Moment Prestress Construction: Install prestressed tendons according to design requirements and perform tensioning and anchoring operations. During tensioning, strictly control the tensioning force and elongation to ensure the quality of prestress construction.
  7. Beam Moving and Storage: Use a crane to move the prefabricated T-beam to the storage area and store it according to specified storage methods to prevent deformation and damage to the beam.

  1. Concrete Sealing: Before pouring, fill rubber strips into the gaps between the mold and reinforcement to prevent concrete leakage during pouring.
  2. Material Distribution and Vibration: Use a gantry crane to lift the concrete hopper above the prefabricated beam mold to be poured, open the discharge port, and vibrate with a vibrating rod while pouring to ensure concrete density.
  3. Smoothing and Groove Pouring: Smooth the concrete surface with an iron trowel, pass the grid mold at the top of the beam through the stirrups, install it on the end formwork, and fix it with bolts. Pour 50 mm high concrete into the two top grooves according to the drawings.
  4. Curing: Embed a QR code label into the concrete (note that the QR code should face upwards). The steam curing shed should be tightly sealed around the edges. Insert the steam pipe into the steam curing shed, set the time and temperature, and start steam curing to ensure concrete strength growth.
  5. Lifting: Connect the duckbill lifting device to the lifting pins on the beam, lift the beam component 200 mm to 300 mm, pause briefly, check whether the component is secure, and then transfer the component after confirmation. Place cushion wood or a steel support at the bottom of the component.
  6. Site Clearance: After the component production is completed, clear the site, sweep away garbage on the mold and ground, and collect and store all tools, drawings, and documents used.

First, use bricks to enclose the desired prefabricated size, align them, and wrap them with plastic film, then spray water to keep them moist. Fill with stirred cement, start smoothing when half full, then pre-embed two threaded steel bars to increase strength, and continue filling with cement to the required height.
