Materials for Mobile Toilets
The materials used for making mobile toilets are diverse. Early on, wood was the primary material, but later developments led to the use of materials such as fiberglass-reinforced plastic and polyethylene. There are also cases where materials like water storage tanks are used for construction.

Initially, mobile toilets were mostly made from traditional materials like wood. Wood has the advantages of easy sourcing and simple processing. Under the limited technological conditions of the early days, it could meet basic construction needs and provide temporary toilet facilities for people. However, wood has drawbacks such as being prone to decay and having poor durability. In long-term use and harsh environments, it is likely to get damaged, affecting the service life and stability of mobile toilets.
With the development of materials science, new materials like fiberglass-reinforced plastic and polyethylene have started to be applied in the making of mobile toilets. Fiberglass-reinforced plastic is a composite material with advantages such as being lightweight yet hard, non-conductive, having high mechanical strength, low recycling rate, and being corrosion-resistant. Mobile toilets made of fiberglass-reinforced plastic are not only structurally sturdy and able to withstand a certain amount of external force impact but also highly corrosion-resistant, adaptable to different environmental conditions such as humidity and acid-base environments, greatly extending the service life of mobile toilets. Polyethylene is a thermoplastic resin with good chemical stability, low-temperature resistance, and electrical insulation properties. Mobile toilets made of polyethylene are lightweight, easy to move and install. At the same time, their smooth surfaces are easy to clean and maintain, effectively keeping the interior of the toilets hygienic.
In addition, there are some creative cases of using materials like water storage tanks to make mobile toilets. For example, someone used a water storage tank, along with materials and tools such as wooden boards, universal wheels, wooden strips, self-tapping screws, sponge strips, plastic soft boards, white waterproof paint, foam strips, honeycomb wooden boards, plastic buckets, water pipes, three-way connectors, showerheads, toilets, water tanks, glass glue, drainage pipes, sewage buckets, and hoses to make a movable toilet. This construction method fully utilizes the characteristics of various materials. The water storage tank can be used to store water resources, wooden boards and the like are used for building the framework and support structures, universal wheels facilitate movement, and various pipes and fittings ensure the normal use functions of the toilet, demonstrating a combination of innovation and practicality.
