Maintenance of Container Prefabricated Houses

Admin September 17, 2026

The maintenance of container prefabricated houses should be carried out from three aspects: structural inspection, maintenance of light-steel integrated houses, and maintenance within the turnover service life. Details are as follows:

Structural Inspection:

  • Inspection of Weld Seams on Load-Bearing Frames: Focus on inspecting the weld seams of the load-bearing frames of the house to ensure that no open welds occur. If severe rust is found on the weld seams, use should be stopped immediately, and rust removal and re-welding work should be carried out to ensure the structural stability of the house.
  • Maintenance of Movable Joints of Components: After maintenance, the movable joints of components should be coated with anti-rust oil to prevent rusting, which could affect their normal use and connection performance.
  • Repair of Components and Panels: When components and panels are bent or deformed, they should be repaired promptly. If the deformation is severe and cannot be repaired, new components and panels should be replaced to ensure the integrity and safety of the overall structure of the house.
  • Repair of Doors, Windows, and Accessories: If doors, windows, and accessories show signs of breakage or damage, they should be repaired or replaced promptly to ensure the normal use functions of doors and windows, such as smooth opening and closing and good sealing.

Maintenance of Light-Steel Integrated Houses:

  • Rust Removal and Painting: The structure of light-steel integrated houses adopts a light-steel structural system, and rust removal on the exterior is crucial. Regular rust removal and painting of steel materials should be carried out. Generally, light-steel structural components should be painted once every 1-2 years to maintain the aesthetic appearance of the house, effectively prevent steel material corrosion, and extend the service life of the house.
  • Waterproof Inspection: Regularly inspect the waterproofing facilities of the house to check for signs of aging. Promptly replace aging waterproof materials to prevent rainwater leakage from causing damage to the house. At the same time, check electrical circuits to ensure electrical safety, avoid fires caused by electrical faults, protect the house's moisture-proof function, and provide a safe and comfortable living environment for occupants.

Maintenance within the Turnover Service Life: Before reassembling light-steel integrated houses within the turnover service life, a comprehensive inspection and maintenance of the main components must be carried out. Only those that meet the quality requirements can be put into operation to ensure the safety and stability of the house after reassembly.
