Luoshan County Mobile Toilets

Admin October 05, 2026

The construction, characteristics, and management mechanisms of mobile toilets in Luoshan County are as follows:

I. Construction Quantity and Distribution
During the process of advancing the "Toilet Revolution", Luoshan County has completed the upgrading and renovation of 51 old public toilets, including 5 mobile toilets. In 2019, 5 new public toilets meeting or exceeding the national second-class standard were built, of which 4 were mobile toilets. These are specifically located at the entrance of the epidemic prevention station on Xingzheng Avenue, 200 meters north of the east end of Sanliqiao Bridge, 300 meters south of the east end of Sanliqiao Bridge, and at the Beisangyuan intersection. The siting of these mobile toilets takes into account both areas with high pedestrian traffic and public service needs, effectively supplementing the coverage blind spots of traditional fixed public toilets.

II. Core Characteristics of Mobile Toilets

  1. Mobility and Flexibility: Mobile toilets adopt a modular design, allowing the main structure to be hoisted or transported as a whole. They can be quickly deployed to temporary event venues, construction sites, or emergency scenarios. With a small footprint (typically 5-10 square meters), they are highly adaptable to various terrains, making them particularly suitable for areas with limited space or those requiring dynamic adjustment of service points.
  2. Resource Conservation and Environmental Protection: Compared to traditional public toilets, mobile toilets do not require large-scale civil engineering works, reducing waste from demolition and reconstruction. Some models are equipped with water-saving flushing devices or biodegradation technology, lowering water consumption and aligning with green development principles.
  3. Functional Adaptability: According to usage needs, mobile toilets can be configured with barrier-free facilities, baby care rooms, or third toilets to meet the diverse needs of different groups. For example, the mobile toilet at the Beisangyuan intersection may have optimized its internal space layout based on the surrounding resident structure.

III. Management Mechanisms and Maintenance Models
Luoshan County implements a refined grid management system for mobile toilets:

  1. Numbering and Signage Standards: All public toilets are uniformly numbered and equipped with clear identification signs and directional signs to facilitate quick location by citizens.
  2. Dedicated Personnel Responsibility System: A model of "one grid for multiple toilets, one staff member for one or multiple toilets" is adopted, hiring full-time management personnel with clearly defined job responsibilities to ensure daily cleaning, disinfection, and equipment inspections.
  3. Supervision and Assessment: Through a job responsibility system and regular inspections, the cleanliness and functionality of public toilets are ensured, preventing a decline in service levels due to management gaps.

IV. Application Scenarios and Significance
The mobility of mobile toilets makes them an important infrastructure for Luoshan County to cope with seasonal passenger flows (such as during the tourist season) or temporary events (such as exhibitions and markets). Their rapid deployment capability reduces the issues of long construction periods and high costs associated with traditional public toilets, while scientific management enhances the city's public service image, providing residents and tourists with convenient and hygienic toilet facilities.
