Lu You Mobile Toilet

Admin September 27, 2026

A tourist mobile toilet is a facility that can be moved as a whole and provides toilet services to the public, suitable for tourist attractions and other places.

A tourist mobile toilet generally consists of a fecal sewage storage tank (or fecal sewage treatment device), floor, sanitary ware, walls, washing equipment, water tank, roof, and mobile device, etc. There are various classification methods:

  • By structural form: It can be divided into single-structure mobile toilets and composite-structure mobile toilets. The single-structure type is relatively independent and simple, suitable for scenarios with limited space or high flexibility requirements; the composite-structure type is composed of multiple parts, with potentially more complete functions, and can meet the usage needs of different-sized groups of people.
  • By moving method: There are lifting and handling-type mobile toilets. These toilets are usually relatively small in size and light in weight, facilitating movement via lifting equipment or manual handling; power-driven and towed-type mobile toilets can be moved by means of power devices or vehicles, with a wider moving range, suitable for places that require long-distance movement or flexible arrangement within a large area.
  • By sewage treatment method: It can be divided into water-flush and waterless suction-type mobile toilets, circulating water-flush mobile toilets, and dry-packing mobile toilets. For water-flush and waterless suction-type mobile toilets, the former relies on water flushing for cleaning, while the latter treats feces through suction; the circulating water-flush mobile toilet can recycle the flushing water, saving water resources; the dry-packing mobile toilet collects feces in replaceable packing bags, requiring no water, and is suitable for water-scarce areas.

Tourist mobile toilets have many advantages. They can be conveniently transported to any place where toilets need to be set up and can be used repeatedly. They have characteristics such as mobility, combinability, and convenient transportation. For example, during the May Day holiday in 2026, the Jinci Scenic Area in Shanxi flexibly deployed buses as mobile men's toilets and temporarily converted fixed men's toilets into women's toilets to cope with the peak tourist flow. As a result, the average daily reception capacity of the restrooms in this area increased from about 3,000 person-times to around 5,000 person-times, effectively alleviating the toilet pressure in the scenic area.
