Longnan Outdoor Mobile Toilet Design

Admin October 19, 2026

The design of Longnan's outdoor mobile toilets focuses on modularity, environmental adaptability, and functional integration, while also considering construction convenience, ecological protection, and user experience.

1. Modular Structure and Material Selection

The main body adopts a modular design, consisting of three parts: wall frames, roof, and ground base, facilitating transportation and rapid assembly. The frame materials are primarily lightweight alloys (such as aluminum alloy) or composite materials, offering wind resistance, earthquake resistance, and weather resistance. The wall cavities are filled with composite panels or new polymers, balancing thermal insulation, sound insulation, and structural strength. The roof is designed with a slight slope for efficient drainage, and the box materials are upgraded to fiberglass or stainless steel to enhance corrosion resistance. The interior finishes prioritize ease of cleaning and visual comfort.

2. Environmental Adaptability Technologies

Given Longnan's mountainous and sloping terrain, the design supports rapid installation using a gravel bedding layer and leveling feet, eliminating the need for concrete foundations and avoiding repeated construction due to terrain constraints. In high-altitude mountainous areas with low winter temperatures (e.g., average January temperatures below 0°C in Dangchang and Lixian counties), electric tracing or double-layer insulation sandwich structures are employed to ensure normal flushing at -15°C. The ventilation system is equipped with filtration devices to prevent sand and dust ingress, while enhanced anti-corrosion treatments (such as galvanized sheets replacing ordinary carbon steel) are applied in humid environments to prevent rust and leakage.

3. Functional Zoning and Internal Configuration

The toilet area features standardized space, with some units equipped with anti-slip ramps and sunshades. The handwashing area integrates water supply and wastewater collection piping systems, along with auxiliary components like mirrors and handrails. The treatment systems include storage-type (temporary storage in sealed containers), biodegradation-type (accelerated decomposition by microbial agents), chemical treatment-type (disinfection and deodorization by reagents), and eco-integrated-type (graywater recycling filtration, solar power supply, vacuum collection, achieving a water-saving rate of over 60%).

4. Energy and Maintenance Design

In areas with abundant sunlight in Gansu, solar photovoltaic panels are commonly used for power supply, with some facilities incorporating small wind turbines for hybrid wind-solar power generation. The energy storage units utilize lithium battery packs. Daily maintenance includes monitoring septic tank capacity, checking pipeline patency, and replenishing consumables (such as toilet paper, deodorizers, and microbial agents), with maintenance cycles dynamically adjusted based on usage frequency.

5. Appearance and Functional Expansion

The exterior design emphasizes color, contour, and surface texture, harmonizing with park or scenic area landscapes. Some facilities integrate plug-in functions like simple shower compartments (pressure tank water supply) and emergency call buttons without compromising the stability of the main structure. In terms of differentiated demand response, mountain units emphasize mold prevention, economic packaged units are suitable for short-term events, standard water-flush units are ideal for regular township deployment, and eco-integrated units are targeted at ecological protection zones or areas with water scarcity.
