Liquid-Storage Portable Toilet
A liquid-storage portable toilet is a temporary sanitation facility that decouples functionality from location through integrated technology modules, featuring self-sustaining characteristics suitable for large-scale outdoor events and other scenarios.

Core Module Composition
The core modules of a liquid-storage portable toilet include a water storage unit and a waste collection container. The water storage unit employs a dual-tank independent design:
- Freshwater tank: Uses a pressure system (such as a water pump or pneumatic device) to deliver stored freshwater to the flushing mechanism, providing flushing water for the toilet. Its capacity is designed according to the usage scenario and duration, typically meeting the needs of several hundred users.
- Wastewater tank: Independent of the freshwater tank, it is used to seal and collect flushed wastewater, preventing cross-contamination. The wastewater tank is equipped with a leak-proof structure to ensure no spillage during transportation.
The waste collection container is responsible for storing excreta, usually made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and other corrosion-resistant materials, with possible addition of biodegradable agents or chemical agents to reduce odors. Some models are also equipped with a solid-liquid separation device to store feces and urine separately for easier subsequent treatment.
Technical Features and Advantages
- Self-sustaining: With independent water circulation and waste collection systems, it does not rely on external water supply or sewage pipelines, capable of operating independently for several days to weeks, adapting to temporary sites without infrastructure.
- Modular design: Components use standardized interfaces for easy and quick assembly, disassembly, and transportation, suitable for frequently moving scenarios (such as music festivals, sports events).
- Environmental friendliness: Wastewater and waste are sealed and stored, reducing direct pollution to the environment; some models support resource-based treatment of feces (such as composting), aligning with sustainable development concepts.
- Adaptability: Water tank capacity can be adjusted according to the number of users, or the number of waste containers can be increased to extend the usage cycle, flexibly meeting the needs of events of different scales.
Typical Application Scenarios
Liquid-storage portable toilets are widely used in large-scale outdoor events (such as concerts, marathons), disaster relief sites, construction sites, and other temporary scenarios. Their advantages lie in rapid deployment, low environmental dependency, effectively addressing the sanitation needs of short-term high-density populations while minimizing interference with the local ecosystem.
