Light Steel Prefabricated House Structure

Admin September 18, 2026

The light steel prefabricated house structure is a building system that uses light steel keels as the core material, assembled on-site with factory-prefabricated components, featuring standardization, efficiency, and environmental friendliness.

1. Structural System
As the main load-bearing structure, light steel keels are cold-rolled from hot-dip galvanized aluminum-zinc steel strips. Their coating is a quaternary crystal formed at 600℃ from 55% aluminum, 43.4% zinc, and 1.6% silicon, providing excellent corrosion resistance. The structural forms include steel frames and steel frame-bracing systems. Frame columns use section steel or concrete-filled steel tubular columns, beams are section steel beams, floor systems use composite slabs or steel bar truss floor decks, and stairs are prefabricated components. This design ensures overall structural stability while enabling efficient construction through standardized components.

2. Four Integrated Systems

  • Foundation System: Supports the entire structure and must be designed according to geological conditions to ensure stability.
  • Wall System: The exterior walls are filled with glass fiber wool for thermal insulation, paired with breathable membranes to regulate humidity. The exterior cladding uses autoclaved aerated concrete panels or integrated composite wall panels, with decorative layers available in materials such as metal embossed panels or cement fiber siding, balancing aesthetics and functionality.
  • Floor System: Composite slabs or steel bar truss floor decks provide a flat load-bearing surface to meet daily usage needs.
  • Roof System: Supports the integration of photovoltaic tiles, improving energy efficiency by 40% while providing waterproofing and thermal insulation.

3. Construction Advantages
Adopting standardized modular processes, components are prefabricated in factories and assembled on-site, reducing construction time by 50% compared to traditional buildings and lowering material waste to 3%. With high-precision components and standardized connection nodes, construction is less affected by weather, enabling rapid completion, especially suitable for emergency housing or projects requiring quick delivery.

4. Outstanding Performance Advantages

  • Seismic and Wind Resistance: The main structure withstands earthquakes up to magnitude 9 and winds up to 12, making it suitable for earthquake-prone and high-wind regions.
  • Lightweight and Efficient: Its self-weight is 1/5 to 1/8 of traditional structures, reducing foundation loads and costs. Thinner walls (typically 10-15cm) provide more interior space, with flexible internal layouts for easy modification.
  • Green and Sustainable: Over 90% of materials are recyclable, and construction generates minimal waste, aligning with low-carbon building trends.
