Reinforcement of Prefabricated Slab Houses in Liaocheng

Admin September 18, 2026

Reinforcement methods for prefabricated slab houses in Liaocheng include section enlargement reinforcement, carbon fiber sheet bonding reinforcement, structural load path modification reinforcement, prefabricated slab replacement, and post-opening reinforcement, among others. The appropriate method should be selected based on the actual situation.

Section Enlargement Reinforcement Method: This method involves adding a reinforced concrete post-pouring layer with a thickness of no less than 40mm on the surface or bottom of the prefabricated slab to form a rigid floor and roof. Pouring on the slab surface is usually preferred as it is relatively simple to operate. If, due to special circumstances, a composite layer needs to be poured on the slab bottom, the slab bottom should be roughened to enhance the bond between the new and old concrete, and the spraying method should be used for construction to ensure quality. This method can effectively improve the load-bearing capacity of the prefabricated slab and enhance the overall stability of the structure.

Carbon Fiber Sheet Bonding Reinforcement Method: Structural adhesive is used to bond carbon fiber sheets along the span direction to the tensioned part at the bottom of the slab. Carbon fiber sheets are characterized by their lightweight and high strength. They are lightweight and do not significantly increase the weight of the original member, nor do they affect the original shape of the structure. At the same time, they have high strength, which can significantly improve the load-bearing capacity and stiffness of the structure, making them suitable for reinforcement projects with strict requirements on structural self-weight and a need to increase load-bearing capacity.

Structural Load Path Modification Reinforcement Method: Beams and columns are added at the bottom of the prefabricated slab to change the load transfer path, reduce the bending moment of the slab, thereby improving the load-bearing capacity of the structure and effectively achieving the purpose of reinforcement. This method is suitable for situations where the original structural load transfer is unreasonable, leading to excessive stress on the prefabricated slab.

Prefabricated Slab Replacement: High-strength and high-performance prefabricated slab materials are selected for replacement to improve the overall strength and stability of the house. For connection points with weak links, additional methods such as increasing connecting reinforcement and strengthening connection nodes are used for reinforcement to ensure a firm connection between the new and old prefabricated slabs and improve the overall integrity of the structure.

Post-Opening Reinforcement: Opening holes in the prefabricated slab may cut off the original load transfer path and reinforcement, leading to stress concentration and reduced load-bearing capacity. Therefore, internal force analysis and load-bearing capacity verification should be carried out on the slab after opening holes. Based on the verification results, a reasonable reinforcement method should be selected for hole reinforcement, such as bonding steel plates or adding profile steel supports, to restore the load-bearing capacity of the structure.
