Large and Small Mobile Toilets

Admin September 26, 2026

Large and small mobile toilets have different characteristics, which are introduced below from aspects such as size, structural form, mobility method, and sewage treatment method:

Size: Large mobile toilets are relatively large in size. For example, there is a 30-square-meter mobile toilet that is ten meters long and three meters wide, with an overall ridged shape. There is also a container-type mobile toilet that is 14 meters long, 3 meters wide, and 2.8 meters high. These large mobile toilets can provide more usable space, accommodate multiple toilet stalls, and meet the needs of a large number of people using them simultaneously. They are suitable for places with high foot traffic, such as large event venues and peak periods in tourist attractions. Small mobile toilets are represented by single-structure mobile toilets. Although specific sizes are not mentioned in the reference information, generally speaking, small mobile toilets are compact in size, occupy a small area, are easy to arrange flexibly, and are suitable for scenarios with limited space or a small number of users, such as small construction sites and temporary exhibitions.

Structural Form: Mobile toilets can be divided into single-structure and composite-structure types according to their structural form. Small mobile toilets are mostly of the single-structure type. This structure is relatively simple and usually consists of a single independent toilet stall, making installation and disassembly relatively convenient. Large mobile toilets, on the other hand, more often adopt a composite structure. They are composed of multiple toilet stalls and other functional areas, with a more complex internal layout that may include men's toilets, women's toilets, and management rooms, providing more comprehensive services.

Mobility Method: Mobile toilets can be divided into lifting/handling types and powered/trailer types according to their mobility method. Due to their small size and light weight, small mobile toilets generally use the lifting/handling mobility method and can be moved and installed using lifting equipment or manually. Some large mobile toilets can also use the lifting/handling method, but for situations where the distance is relatively long or frequent movement is required, the powered/trailer method is more appropriate. It can be towed by a vehicle to achieve fast and convenient movement.

Sewage Treatment Method: Mobile toilets can be divided into water-flush and non-water-flush suction types, circulating water-flush types, and dry-packing types according to their sewage treatment method. Both large and small mobile toilets may adopt these sewage treatment methods. The water-flush and non-water-flush suction types are suitable for places with water sources and sewage discharge conditions. The circulating water-flush type can save water resources by recycling sewage through a treatment system. The dry-packing type does not require water sources and sewage discharge facilities. It packs feces and other waste for easy subsequent cleaning and transportation.
