Lanzhou Bus Mobile Toilet

Admin September 21, 2026

The Lanzhou bus mobile toilet is a new sanitation facility that has recently appeared at the event support site in Lanzhou New Area and near Zhongshan Bridge, featuring convenient mobility, comprehensive functions, water conservation, and environmental protection.

I. Basic Structure and Functional Zoning
The two newly purchased bus mobile toilets in Lanzhou have the same appearance as ordinary buses, but their interiors are standardized restrooms. The front area of the bus is designated as the men's restroom, containing three independent stalls and two urinals; the rear area is the women's restroom, equipped with three independent stalls. In addition, the women's restroom is also furnished with a sink, hand dryer, mirror, and amenities such as hand soap and paper towels to meet diverse needs.

II. Intelligent and Environmentally Friendly Design
The facility employs a fully automatic intelligent processor control system that can sense and adjust lighting, ventilation, and other conditions in real-time to ensure user comfort. Its partition materials are waterproof, corrosion-resistant, and pollution-free, extending the service life. Its water-saving performance is particularly outstanding: each flush uses only 220-300 milliliters of water, which is only 1/20 of the national water-saving standard, significantly reducing water consumption. Meanwhile, an onboard generator ensures power supply, and both the men's and women's restroom areas are equipped with a set of air conditioners to adapt to different climatic conditions.

III. Application Scenarios and Advantages
Bus mobile toilets mainly serve high-traffic scenarios such as major events, holidays, commercial districts, and tourist attractions. For example, the newly added similar facilities near Zhongshan Bridge in Lanzhou have effectively alleviated the pressure on tourists' restroom use. Its core advantage lies in flexibility: it can be quickly deployed to areas in need, replacing traditional fixed public toilets or outdated sanitation facilities, reducing long-term maintenance costs. Additionally, the all-weather mobile service model improves the quality of sanitation support and avoids service gaps caused by insufficient fixed facilities.

IV. Current Progress and Future Plans
Currently, the two bus mobile toilets are in the adjustment and trial phase and will be gradually promoted after formal operation. This innovative model not only optimizes the allocation of urban public service resources but also provides a replicable solution for sanitation support at large-scale events, reflecting Lanzhou's practical exploration in smart city construction.
