Kuitun Town and Village Mobile Toilets

Admin October 02, 2026

The mobile toilets in Kuitun's towns and villages, represented by the 'Fifth Space', are characterized by multifunctionality, intelligent management, humanized services, and ecological construction.

Multifunctionality: The 'Fifth Space' in Kuitun breaks away from the single-function positioning of traditional public toilets. For example, the 'Fifth Space' near the Sports Center not only provides basic toilet facilities but also features a wooden pavilion, tables and benches, and a city book bar, offering citizens a pleasant place for leisure and reading. The 'Fifth Space' in Yelintao Amusement Park displays various plant specimens in its public rest area, serving an educational purpose. The 'Fifth Space' near Yunxiuli Community on Tuanjie Road focuses on science popularization, with physical principle display devices to stimulate citizens' interest in science, especially among young people. The 'Fifth Space' in Runmin River Ecological Park adopts a commercial-supporting-toilet model, selling snacks and beverages and placing claw machines and game consoles, becoming a recreational spot for citizens.

Intelligent Management: The LCD screens on the toilet walls display real-time information on toilet stall availability, as well as data on humidity, temperature, ammonia concentration, and hydrogen sulfide concentration. This data is uploaded in real-time to the Environmental Sanitation Quality Supervision and Assessment Center and the Kuitun Municipal Government Public Service Center platform for comprehensive supervision, ensuring the environmental quality and management level of the public toilets.

Humanized Services: The public toilets are equipped with third toilets, specially designed for disabled individuals and the elderly, with various service facilities installed to meet their special needs. Additionally, rest areas for sanitation workers are set up, equipped with water dispensers and microwaves, providing convenience and care for sanitation workers.

Ecological Construction: Kuitun continues to promote the 'toilet revolution' towards ecological, low-carbon, and intelligent development. To date, hundreds of new and renovated public toilets have been built, with a total investment of 54.7 million yuan in construction funds. All of them meet national Class II standards or above, basically forming a 10-minute walking radius for toilet access, enhancing urban public service levels, and improving the urban environment.
