Kaiyuan Container House Installation
Admin September 16, 2026
The installation of container houses in Kaiyuan must follow standardized procedures to ensure structural stability and safety during use. The specific steps and precautions are as follows:

I. Pre-installation Preparation
- Site and Foundation Preparation
Select a flat, dry, and well-drained site. Clear debris and determine the foundation type (e.g., concrete, steel, or timber) based on design requirements. The foundation must have sufficient load-bearing capacity. For example, a concrete foundation should be poured to the design elevation and cured to meet standards, ensuring no settlement or tilting occurs after placing the container. - Material and Personnel Preparation
Count the quantities of materials such as steel, insulation, and connectors. Check the condition of tools like cranes, drills, and spirit levels. Assign professional operators (e.g., welders, electricians) and handlers, clarify roles, and conduct safety training. - Container Inspection
Verify that the container has no deformation, cracks, or rust. Ensure the surface is smooth without sharp protrusions and the bottom flatness error is ≤5mm. Check that doors, windows, locks, and other accessories are complete to avoid rework after installation.
II. Installation Process
- Bottom Frame Installation
- Preliminary Fixing: Secure the container bottom corners to the bottom beams using hexagon socket bolts. Use a spirit level to level the bottom frame, ensuring diagonal differences are ≤3mm before tightening the bolts.
- Install π-shaped secondary beams, fix them with self-tapping screws and round-head drill tail screws, and lay pre-punched magnesium oxide floor base plates. Mark along the centerline of the π-shaped beams, lay the floor, and secure it with cross-head flat-tail screws at intervals of 300-350mm to ensure the floor is flat and secure.
- Container Positioning and Connection
- Use a crane to slowly place the container on the foundation, adjust it to a stable and vertical state, and secure the container to the foundation with high-strength bolts or welding.
- Connect adjacent containers with steel plates, verify that the core axis aligns with the design drawings, and install support components (e.g., diagonal braces) and safety facilities (e.g., protective nets, escape ladders).
- Roof and Exterior Wall Facility Installation
- Install door and window frames and seal them. Lay roof panels (e.g., color steel sheets) and skylights, connect rainwater pipes, and test drainage to ensure no leakage.
- Interior Treatment
- Moisture Protection: Lay moisture-proof membranes (e.g., polyethylene film) on walls and floors. Install ventilation equipment (e.g., exhaust fans) to reduce humidity.
- Decoration and Layout: Choose flooring materials (e.g., PVC flooring) and partition types (e.g., light steel keel partitions) based on needs. Plan functional zones reasonably.
III. Installation Precautions
- Foundation Moisture Protection
Design a waterproof isolation layer (e.g., breathable film) between the foundation and the container bottom to prevent rainwater or groundwater infiltration from causing steel corrosion. - Safety Protection
Workers must wear safety helmets and protective shoes. Use safety harnesses for high-altitude work. Set up sound barriers and sprinkle water to reduce dust at the construction site, minimizing the impact on the surrounding environment. - Electrical and Piping Specifications
Lay electrical wires in conduits. Install sockets and lighting fixtures in compliance with electrical safety standards. Lay pipelines with a reserved slope and seal joints to prevent leakage. - Acceptance and Maintenance
After installation, check structural stability (e.g., bolt tightness), electrical safety (e.g., insulation tests), and waterproofing (e.g., water spray tests). Regular maintenance (e.g., inspecting connectors and cleaning drainage pipes every six months) can extend the service life of the house.
Tip: In Kaiyuan, consider local climate characteristics (e.g., heavy rainfall, large temperature variations) and adjust moisture-proofing and insulation measures appropriately to ensure the house's suitability.
