Jinhua Mobile Bucket Toilet Water Incident
There is no case of Jinhua Mobile business hall using toilet water to fill bucketed water. This incident was a rumor spread by a security guard, and the security guard will face accountability subsequently.

Incident Cause
On March 20, 2020, a China Mobile business hall in Jinhua, Zhejiang Province, was reported by a security guard. The security guard claimed that the business hall filled bucketed water with toilet water for customers to drink and described that this bucketed water turned green and smelled bad, even causing some children to have symptoms such as diarrhea. This report attracted public attention and concern. After all, the quality of bucketed water is directly related to the health and safety of consumers, especially in public places like business halls. If such problems really exist, the impact range would be relatively wide.
Incident Reversal
On March 22, the security guard involved, Mr. Fang, publicly stated that due to emotional issues, the video content he released on the 20th did not match the facts. This means that the content he reported before was not true and might have been fabricated due to personal emotions and other factors. Subsequently, his work returned to normal, which also indirectly reflects that there might be untruths in the incident.
Investigation Results
On the afternoon of March 23, relevant public reports showed that the mobile company involved immediately set up an investigation team to conduct an investigation overnight. After detailed investigation, it was confirmed that all the bucketed water used in the business hall was purchased from formal channels, and there was no case of using toilet tap water to impersonate bucketed water. The mobile company promptly communicated the investigation results to the local sub-district office and the market supervision and management department, indicating its active cooperation with relevant departments and willingness to accept supervision. At the same time, the mobile company stated that it would handle the security guard who spread the rumor in accordance with the law to safeguard its legitimate rights and interests and normal business order. In addition, China Mobile also issued an investigation announcement stating that the claims of the reporter were unfounded and that the source of the bucketed water was normal, further confirming that this incident was a rumor spread by the security guard, and the security guard involved would face accountability.
