Jingmen Prefabricated Structural Housing
Jingmen has achieved remarkable results in the field of prefabricated structural housing (prefabricated buildings), with outstanding performances in policy support, project implementation, industrial layout, and demonstration status.
In terms of policy support and objectives, Jingmen attaches great importance to the development of prefabricated buildings. It has established a dedicated leading group to coordinate and advance the work. Among the cities and prefectures in the province, Jingmen took the lead in issuing the "Implementation Opinions on Promoting the Modernization of the Construction Industry in Jingmen City," clearly setting a target of having prefabricated buildings account for more than 35% of the newly built floor area in the city by 2025. This provides strong policy guidance and objective direction for the industry's development.
Regarding project implementation and achievements, several projects stand out. The second phase of the Beijingpang Garden Community project is the first prefabricated housing reconstruction project in the western Hubei region. It employs various prefabricated components, achieving an assembly rate of 53%. Compared to traditional construction methods, it significantly reduces the construction period, building waste, and labor costs, while ensuring the safety and sturdiness of the houses. The Xinglonggang Youth Community project in Jingmen High-tech Zone utilizes intelligent production lines for component manufacturing and advanced construction techniques on-site. The construction period for a single-story main structure is shortened to 4 days, with a 30% increase in efficiency and an assembly rate of 50.4%, meeting the national Grade A standard for prefabricated buildings. The Science and Innovation Building project at Jingchu University of Technology adopts a prefabricated frame structural system and BIM collaborative design technology, achieving an assembly rate of 53.9%. It improves construction efficiency by about 40%, shortens the construction period by more than 30%, and reduces on-site building waste and dust pollution.
In terms of industrial layout, in 2016, the Green Building Materials and Prefabricated Building Industrial Park was established in Dongbao District. A number of industry leaders, including Hangxiao Steel Structure, Longyan Technology, and China Construction Science & Technology, have successively settled in the park, forming two complete industrial chains for smart homes and prefabricated buildings, providing solid industrial support for the industry's development.
Regarding demonstration status, Jingmen has become one of the first batch of prefabricated building demonstration cities announced by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development. Hubei Peihan Construction Co., Ltd., China Construction Third Engineering Bureau, and China First Metallurgical Group have become demonstration industrial bases, highlighting their leading position and exemplary role in the field.
