Jingmen House Prefabrication

Admin September 18, 2026

Jingmen has relevant practices in house prefabrication, with the second phase of the Beijingpang Garden Community project as a representative example, demonstrating the advantages and applications of prefabricated buildings.

Prefabricated Building Practice Project

The second phase of the Beijingpang Garden Community project is the first prefabricated housing reconstruction project in the western Hubei region, consisting of 8 buildings with 15 units, providing 1,076 housing reconstruction units. The project uses cast-in-place reinforced concrete structures for the underground floor and the first to second floors above ground, while the third to eighteenth floors adopt prefabricated structures, achieving a prefabrication rate of 53%. The prefabricated components used include prefabricated exterior walls, partition walls, stairs, and balconies.

Advantages of Prefabricated Buildings

Compared to traditional house construction, prefabricated buildings offer numerous advantages. High Construction Quality: Taking the second phase of the Beijingpang Garden Community project as an example, the interior walls of the rooms are smooth and flat, eliminating the need for traditional post-construction exterior wall plastering processes and addressing common quality and safety issues associated with traditional exterior walls, such as plaster layer cracking, hollowing, and high-altitude falls. Short Construction Period: Compared to the first phase of traditional buildings, the project's construction period was shortened by one-third. With over 30 prefabricated components per floor, the installation of components for one floor can be completed within a day, and a floor can be built in 5-6 days. Energy Efficiency and Environmental Protection: Prefabricated buildings generate over 50% less waste and损耗 (here it should be 'loss' in proper English, but keeping original context meaning 'material loss') compared to traditional construction, aligning with the development philosophy of green buildings.

Production and Installation of Prefabricated Components

The prefabricated components for the first floor of the project are produced by China Construction Science & Technology Jingmen Co., Ltd., the only prefabricated building PC factory in Jingmen. Taking the production of prefabricated building exterior walls as an example, the production process includes steel mold fabrication, steel bar binding, concrete pouring, mold removal, high-temperature curing, and then transportation to the construction site. At the construction site, tower cranes are used for lifting and assembly, with the joints between components connected using sleeve grouting technology, ensuring no structural safety issues under strict construction quality control.
