Jingmen Construction Site Portable Toilet

Admin October 05, 2026

The configuration and implementation points of the portable toilet for the construction site in Jingmen are as follows:

I. Construction Plan and Basic Parameters To meet the temporary needs of 200 workers, a combination of 10 individual portable toilet units is typically used, covering a total area of approximately 30 square meters. The toilet type is mainly water-saving flushing, equipped with basic lighting, ventilation systems, and simple hand-washing facilities, in compliance with the 'Urban Public Toilet Design Code' and the management requirements for construction sites in Jingmen. The internal clear dimensions of each toilet cubicle are 1.2 meters by 1.5 meters, ensuring sufficient space for use and avoiding crowding.

II. Technical Preparation and Regulatory Requirements Before construction, it is necessary to draw a floor plan, a basic structural diagram, and a pipeline connection diagram, clarifying the location, orientation (facing north and south for better ventilation and lighting), and spacing (not less than 1.5 meters) of the units. Construction personnel must focus on mastering the foundation bearing capacity standard (not less than 15 kPa) and temporary electrical safety regulations to avoid safety hazards caused by foundation settlement or circuit failures.

III. Material and Equipment Selection The main material is a fiberglass individual toilet unit, integrating core components such as a squat toilet and a sewage storage tank, along with water supply pipes, cables, concrete, and anti-slip floor tiles. Construction equipment includes a truck-mounted crane (for lifting individual units), a concrete vibrator (for foundation construction), a level gauge (for horizontal calibration), and tools such as tape measures and electric drills to ensure installation accuracy and efficiency.

IV. Site Preparation and Energy and Sewage Disposal The site should be a flat area. After clearing debris, the foundation should be compacted, and drainage ditches should be set up around to prevent water accumulation. The material storage area should use wooden blocks to elevate the fiberglass units to prevent moisture damage. If a solar-powered portable toilet is used, a 'photovoltaic panel + controller + deep-cycle battery' system should be configured. The sewage disposal system can choose 'micro-flush' (0.3-0.5 liters of water per flush) or 'vacuum negative pressure' technology, and an intelligent control module should be installed to monitor battery voltage, photovoltaic panel current, and water tank level, automatically cutting off non-essential loads when the battery is low.

V. Site Selection and Lighting Conditions The photovoltaic panels should face south or southwest, with no tall buildings, trees, or billboards blocking them around. Before installation, a portable sunshine meter should be used to measure the instantaneous irradiance. If it is below 400 watts per square meter, the orientation of the toilet should be adjusted or flexible photovoltaic panels should be added to supplement energy, ensuring a stable energy supply.
