Jing'an District took the lead in achieving full coverage of age-friendly and child-friendly services in all public sanitation facilities across the district, including 126 public toilets, mobile toilets included. Taking the mobile toilet site at Laochengdu North Road and Huqing Road as an example, several thoughtful modifications have been made. One squat toilet has been converted into a sit-down toilet to facilitate use by the elderly, those with mobility issues, and children. Steps have been removed and handrails installed, reducing safety risks during use and providing support and protection for users. Child seats have been added to meet the practical needs of parents taking children to the restroom. Additionally, the sink has been integrated into the toilet, effectively saving space and improving the space utilization of mobile toilets.
