Jinan Mobile Toilet Disinfection
Admin September 22, 2026
The disinfection of mobile toilets in Jinan requires a combination of physical and chemical methods, along with safety precautions. The specific operations are as follows:

I. Physical Disinfection Methods
- Ultraviolet Disinfection: Use dedicated ultraviolet equipment to irradiate the treated feces and the interior surfaces of the toilet for at least 30 minutes. Ultraviolet light can damage the DNA structure of microorganisms, effectively killing bacteria, viruses, and other pathogens. It is suitable for disinfecting unobstructed flat areas.
- High-Temperature Steam Disinfection: If conditions permit, use high-temperature steam to treat feces, ensuring the temperature reaches above 80℃ and is maintained for more than 30 minutes. High temperatures can completely inactivate pathogens, making it particularly suitable for deep disinfection of septic tanks or fecal storage containers. However, attention should be paid to the heat resistance of the equipment.
II. Chemical Disinfection Methods
- Chlorine-Based Disinfectants:
- Bleaching Powder: Dilute it in a ratio of 1:100 to 1:200 and spray it, allowing it to act for 30 minutes to 1 hour. It is suitable for disinfecting large areas such as toilet floors and walls.
- Sodium Hypochlorite: Prepare a solution with an effective chlorine content of 500 - 1000mg/L and spray it, maintaining it for 30 minutes. It should be prepared fresh for use to avoid inactivation.
- Peracetic Acid: Use a 0.5% - 1% concentration solution for spraying. After disinfection, rinse off the residues with clean water. This substance is highly corrosive, so enhanced protection is required during operation.
- Chlorine Dioxide: Dissolve it at a dosage of 5 - 10mg per cubic meter of water and spray it, allowing it to act for 30 minutes. It is suitable for disinfecting air or object surfaces and has low irritancy.
III. Safety Precautions
- Personal Protection: Staff should wear protective clothing, gloves, masks, and goggles to avoid direct contact with contaminants on the skin or mucous membranes. Change clothes promptly and disinfect hands after operation.
- Ventilation: After disinfection, maintain environmental ventilation for more than 30 minutes to expel residual disinfectant gases or harmful microorganisms and reduce the risk of inhalation.
IV. Other Considerations
- Equipment Maintenance: Regularly clean septic tanks and surrounding equipment to prevent bacterial growth from fecal residues. Check the effectiveness of disinfection equipment (such as ultraviolet lamps) and replace damaged parts promptly.
- Operational Standards: Set up isolation areas to prevent fecal splashing or leakage. If contaminants are accidentally contacted, rinse immediately with a large amount of clean water and seek medical attention.
By following these methods, the hygiene and safety of mobile toilets in Jinan can be systematically ensured, reducing the risk of disease transmission.
