Jiangxi Prefabricated Houses

Admin September 18, 2026

Jiangxi prefabricated houses have made significant progress in policy support, new development trends, and industrial base construction.

At the policy support and governance level, the Jiangxi Provincial Housing and Urban-Rural Development Department has established a leading group for the safety management of urban housing use to coordinate and advance the safety management of existing housing. Among the 13,000 sets of urban dilapidated housing renovations initiated in 2025, eligible prefabricated panel houses are explicitly included in the renovation scope. According to the 'Jiangxi Urban Renewal Regulations', autonomous updates or original demolition and reconstruction are allowed under the premise of planning approval and safety guarantees. This policy provides a legal basis and operational path for the renovation of dilapidated prefabricated panel houses, effectively promoting the safety upgrade of existing housing stock.

In terms of new development trends, Jiangxi has tailored the iteration of prefabricated integrated housing technology to local conditions. In response to the hilly terrain and humid, rainy climate, this technology enhances building durability through the use of light steel frame structures or concrete prefabricated components combined with moisture-proof and anti-corrosion materials; it optimizes living comfort through thermal insulation technology. Its core advantages lie in standardized factory production and rapid on-site assembly, reducing construction time by more than 50% compared to traditional buildings while minimizing construction dust and noise pollution, aligning with the eco-priority development orientation. Currently, this technology has expanded from temporary buildings to permanent residences and public buildings, with widespread applications in rural revitalization, tourism support facilities, and emergency shelters. At the technological level, the introduction of BIM (Building Information Modeling) technology enables digital management throughout the design, production, and construction processes, improving precision and collaborative efficiency; the structural system meets the requirements of the 'Building Seismic Design Code' through optimized node connections and seismic design, adapting to the safety needs of seismic fortification intensity regions in Jiangxi.

Regarding industrial base construction, the large-scale prefabricated building industrial base in the Nanchang Economic and Technological Development Zone has become an industry benchmark. The base features fully automated production lines with an annual capacity exceeding 300,000 cubic meters, producing products such as prefabricated stairs, composite floor slabs, and integrated kitchen and bathroom modules, which are widely used in provincial affordable housing and school projects. The factory has obtained ISO quality management system certification and implements green production standards, with a waste recycling rate exceeding 90%, reflecting the deep integration of intelligent manufacturing and sustainable development and providing technological support and production capacity guarantees for the high-quality development of Jiangxi's prefabricated housing industry.
