Jiangsu Mobile Smart Toilet Operation

Admin September 20, 2026

The operation of Jiangsu Mobile's smart toilets relies on advanced technology to achieve intelligent management and provides convenient services tailored to user needs, with its core summarized in two main directions: technological support and service optimization.

Technological Support: Three-Tier Architecture for Full-Process Intelligence

The operation of smart toilets depends on the collaborative work of three technological modules: the perception and execution layer, the data and computing layer, and the interaction and service layer.
The perception and execution layer serves as the foundation for data collection and response. It uses ammonia and hydrogen sulfide sensors to monitor air quality in real time, occupancy status sensors to track toilet stall usage, and smart water and electricity meters to record resource consumption, providing a comprehensive understanding of the toilet environment. The execution units automatically respond based on preset rules or real-time instructions, such as increasing ventilation power when air quality exceeds standards or dimming lighting for energy savings when no one is present, achieving a closed-loop management of "perception-decision-execution."
The data and computing layer acts as the "central nervous system" of the system. Raw data collected by the perception layer is cleaned, analyzed, and modeled here, enabling dynamic resource scheduling through edge or cloud computing. For example, the system can predict peak usage times by combining historical foot traffic data, allowing for proactive adjustments to cleaning staff schedules; it can also analyze trends in consumable usage to generate restocking alerts, preventing resource shortages or waste.
The interaction and service layer serves as a bidirectional interface between users and management. Users can check toilet stall availability and environmental indicators (such as temperature, humidity, and gas concentrations) in real time via indoor guidance screens, mobile mini-programs, or QR codes, and navigate to their desired locations; facility maintenance personnel can monitor operational status centrally through a management backend, receive abnormal alerts (such as prolonged stall occupancy or falls), and generate environmental quality reports and resource consumption statistics to improve operational efficiency.

Service Optimization: Full-Scenario Coverage to Enhance User Experience

The service design of smart toilets runs through the entire user journey. Entry-point electronic screens display toilet stall status and environmental data in real time, reducing waiting times; lighting automatically turns on when approaching a stall and flushes automatically upon leaving, while the handwashing process features touchless faucet operation, automatic soap dispensing, and sensor-activated hand dryers, minimizing physical contact and enhancing hygiene and safety.
For special scenarios, the system incorporates safety alert mechanisms: if a stall is occupied for an extended period or a fall is detected, it immediately triggers local audible and visual alerts and simultaneously sends a warning to the management backend to ensure timely rescue. Additionally, resource management services enable visual monitoring of water and electricity consumption and precise restocking of consumables through smart meters and monitoring, reducing operational costs.

Jiangsu Mobile's smart toilets, through technological empowerment and service innovation, have constructed an efficient, safe, and convenient public sanitation space, providing a typical model for refined operations in smart cities.
