Is the Mobile Toilet Really Cheap?
Whether mobile toilets are cheap depends on specific needs and usage scenarios, as their price range is wide and cannot be simply generalized.

From the perspective of purchase price, simple mobile toilets cost between 300 and 1,500 yuan. These products have relatively basic functions and simple structures, making them suitable for short-term temporary use scenarios such as construction sites. For situations where only basic excretion needs are to be met and the usage time is short, their prices are relatively affordable. Mid-to-high-end models cost between 2,000 and 9,000 yuan and come with more functions such as showers and deodorization. For example, the common connected toilets in scenic spots cost around 5,000 yuan and can provide a more comfortable user experience, suitable for scenarios with high hygiene and functional requirements, although their prices are relatively high.
In terms of rental prices, basic models cost 50 to 100 yuan per day, connected toilets for large events cost 150 to 300 yuan per day, and high-end models with sinks and lighting cost 300 to 500 yuan per day. Bulk rentals (more than 10 units) can receive a 10% to 20% discount. However, when renting, one should not only consider the base rent but also additional costs such as deposits, cleaning fees (10 to 20 yuan per day), transportation fees (5 to 10 yuan per kilometer), and high-altitude operation fees. Some merchants also bundle additional services such as air fresheners and toilet paper, all of which increase rental costs.
Compared to fixed toilets, for short-term and temporary needs such as large outdoor events and temporary construction site operations, mobile toilets have the advantage of 'quick deployment and removal after use.' They do not require long-term investment or complex civil engineering projects, nor do they require cumbersome land approval processes. From the perspective of overall cost and usage convenience, they are far more cost-effective than fixed toilets. However, for scenarios with fixed usage locations and usage durations of six months or more, where subsequent relocation or renovation is not considered, such as urban commercial areas and communities, fixed toilets are a one-time solution and are more cost-effective in the long run.
