Is Prefabricated House Exempt from Decoration?
Prefabricated houses are not exempt from decoration. Although some structural construction is completed in the factory, a series of decoration procedures are still required after delivery to meet residential standards, as reflected in the following aspects:

1. Basic decoration procedures cannot be omitted
Take light-steel prefabricated houses as an example. Although their wall structures include basic components such as thermal insulation rock wool and studs, the wall surfaces still require procedures like cement mortar plastering and mesh hanging. These steps aim to enhance wall strength, prevent cracking, and provide a flat base for subsequent decorative layers (such as putty and paint). If these basic decorations are omitted, the walls may suffer from reduced thermal insulation performance, structural deformation, and other issues due to direct exposure to the air, seriously affecting residential safety and comfort.
2. Internal spaces need to be configured according to requirements
The kitchen, bathroom, and floor areas of prefabricated houses usually only provide basic frameworks or pre-embedded pipelines. The actual decoration grade needs to be considered in the total cost. For example, a showroom may be equipped with high-end cabinets and smart bathroom fixtures, while the basic quotation may only include simple sanitary ware; the choice of flooring materials ranges from laminate to solid wood flooring, with significant price differences. If users want to improve their living quality, they need to complete the decoration through optional upgrades, which may reduce the price advantage of prefabricated houses compared to traditional buildings.
3. Decorative layer construction is essential
Wall decoration involves processes such as puttying, sanding, painting latex paint, or applying wallpaper to achieve aesthetics and durability; the floor needs to be laid with tiles, wood flooring, or carpets; the ceiling may involve suspended ceiling design. These decorative layer constructions not only affect visual effects but also involve safety performance such as waterproofing and fire resistance. For example, if the wall waterproofing in the bathroom area is not properly done, it may lead to leakage problems; if the kitchen ceiling does not use fire-resistant materials, there may be safety hazards.
4. Personalized requirements require additional investment
The standardized design of prefabricated houses may not fully meet users' personalized requirements. For example, users may need to adjust the positions of doors and windows, add partitions, or customize storage spaces, all of which need to be achieved through decoration. In addition, the installation of smart home systems, central air conditioning, and other equipment also needs to be combined with decoration projects after the house is delivered.
