Interior Photos of Container Houses

Admin September 17, 2026

Currently, there are no publicly available interior photos of container houses for direct display, but their interior characteristics can be described based on relevant events.

Spatial Layout and Occupancy

During the Nagoya Asian Games, container houses were used as temporary accommodations for athletes and staff. Chinese women's basketball team members shared a room for three, while staff members shared rooms for four. From this occupancy arrangement, it can be inferred that the interior space of container houses is relatively cramped. Given the fixed dimensions of containers, when transforming them into living spaces, it is necessary to rationally plan various functional areas, such as sleeping areas and storage areas. This results in limited space in each area, and occupants may feel a lack of activity space.

Facility Equipment

  • Beds: For taller athletes, such as Zhang Ziyu, who stands at 2.23 meters, the organizing committee specially provided extended bed benches. This indicates that the original bed sizes in container houses may have been set according to conventional standards, which may not be sufficient for taller individuals and require additional modifications and adjustments.
  • Sinks: A video released by Korean men's basketball player Byun Jun-hyung showed that the sink in the container house had a leakage problem, with water flooding the floor. This suggests that the sanitary facilities inside container houses may have quality or installation issues, affecting normal use and indicating that the interior facilities may not be sufficiently complete and stable.

Sound Insulation

The text mentions that the sound insulation of container houses is not ideal. This may be due to the material and structural characteristics of containers. Containers are generally made of metal, which has strong sound conductivity. Additionally, the connections and seals between containers may not be tight enough, allowing external noise to easily enter the interior and affecting the rest and daily life of occupants.

Overall Living Experience

Considering the above factors, although container houses can meet basic living needs, issues such as cramped space, potential facility defects, and poor sound insulation may result in an overall living experience that is not ideal, especially for individuals with higher requirements for their living environment, who may face more limitations.
