Intelligent Control of Intelligent Mobile Toilets

Admin October 09, 2026

The intelligent control of intelligent mobile toilets is primarily based on the Internet of Things (IoT), sensors, single-chip microcomputers, and automation technology to achieve full-process intelligent management.

I. Core Technical Architecture

The intelligent control system of intelligent mobile toilets adopts a four-layer architecture: "perception layer-transmission layer-platform layer-application layer":

  1. Perception Layer: It collects environmental data in real-time through a sensor network, including water pressure (MSP20 sensor), gas concentration (MQ136 hydrogen sulfide sensor, MQ137 ammonia sensor), pedestrian flow (infrared beam sensor), and toilet occupancy status (infrared obstacle avoidance sensor), providing decision-making basis for the system.
  2. Transmission Layer: It utilizes a Wi-Fi module to upload sensor data to the cloud platform, enabling remote monitoring and data interaction, while supporting users to obtain toilet status in real-time through an app.
  3. Platform Layer: Based on cloud computing and big data technology, it stores and analyzes the collected data, generates operation and maintenance reports, and optimizes management strategies.
  4. Application Layer: It provides diverse functions for users and managers, such as toilet guidance, environmental regulation, and device control.

II. Core Function Implementation

  1. Automatic Flushing Control: The system detects whether someone is using the toilet through an infrared obstacle avoidance sensor and triggers automatic flushing by combining timing logic (e.g., 2 minutes) or duration thresholds (e.g., 6 seconds) to avoid water waste.
  2. Environmental Monitoring and Regulation: When the concentration of hydrogen sulfide or ammonia exceeds the standard, the system automatically activates fans for ventilation and triggers an alarm through a buzzer; simultaneously, it adjusts air conditioning or dehumidification equipment based on temperature and humidity sensor data to maintain a comfortable environment.
  3. Pedestrian Flow Statistics and Guidance: The infrared beam sensor counts the number of people using the toilet in real-time, and the data is uploaded to the cloud platform. Users are then guided to available toilets through an app or display screen, reducing queuing time.
  4. Remote Operation and Maintenance Management: Managers can modify sensor thresholds and check device status through the app. The system automatically generates energy consumption reports (e.g., water and electricity consumption) and fault warnings, reducing operation and maintenance costs.

III. Technical Advantages and Application Value

Intelligent control technology upgrades mobile toilets from a single function to "full-link management," significantly improving management efficiency (e.g., reducing manual inspection frequency) through data-driven operation and maintenance, lowering resource consumption (e.g., saving over 30% of water through precise flushing control), and optimizing user experience (e.g., real-time toilet guidance, odor-free environment). It is suitable for scenarios such as scenic spots, transportation hubs, and temporary events.
