Integrated House, Folding House, Container House
Admin September 15, 2026
There are significant differences in structural design, application scenarios, and performance characteristics between folding houses and container houses within integrated housing.

Structural Design
- Folding House: It adopts a folding structural design, compressing its volume during transportation and quickly unfolding upon arrival at the site. The unfolding time for a single unit can be controlled within 30 minutes, such as folding office buildings. This design facilitates transportation and frequent relocation.
- Container House: Using standard containers as carriers, it is transformed into an independent unit after modification. Common sizes are 20-foot and 40-foot, which can be used as a single unit or combined by multiple units. The structure is relatively fixed, mostly transported and hoisted as a whole.
Application Scenarios
- Folding House: It is suitable for office needs that require frequent relocation, such as exploration teams and temporary command centers. It is also applicable to overseas infrastructure camps, oil sites, large-scale EPC projects, emergency rescue and relocation, as well as high-quality travel and accommodation scenarios, quickly meeting the needs of short cycles and large spaces.
- Container House: It has a wider range of applications, including engineering camp scenarios such as project departments and construction site command centers; commercial temporary spaces like pop-up stores, which can be customized with special structures according to brand needs; and scenarios such as government and enterprise temporary buildings and emergency support, where different scenarios can be met through combination and assembly.
Performance Characteristics
- Folding House: It has the advantages of small transportation volume and high on-site installation efficiency. Some products have undergone rigorous environmental testing and possess ultra-wide-range weather resistance, capable of adapting to various extreme climate conditions, such as environments ranging from -25℃ to 45℃.
- Container House: It has a sturdy structure, with some products adopting a full steel structural frame, offering excellent wind and earthquake resistance. For example, products from Suzhou Zhongnan Steel Structure Co., Ltd. have a wind resistance rating of up to Level 12 and an earthquake resistance rating of Level 8. They can be disassembled and reassembled multiple times, with low single-use costs. For instance, the quick-assembly container products from Suzhou Zhongnan can be disassembled and reassembled more than 15 times.
