Innovative Mobile Toilet

Admin October 05, 2026

Innovative mobile toilets feature a variety of creative designs and different classification methods.

Creative Design Aspect:

  • Movable Toilet with Water Storage Barrel: Some people use a water storage barrel from home, splitting it in half lengthwise with an angle grinder. They fix universal wheels at the four corners of a wooden board for mobility. Wooden strips and self-tapping screws are used to increase the height of the barrel. A doorway is cut on the side of the water storage barrel, and sponge strips are installed to form a door frame. A plastic soft board is embedded to create an elevated wall. The upper half of the water storage barrel is placed on top of the wooden strips to form a roof, which is then painted with white waterproof paint for aesthetics. A simple door is made by joining waste honeycomb wooden boards with foam strips. A hole is cut at the bottom of the barrel to install a drain pipe, forming a floor drain. Holes are cut on the side and bottom of the plastic barrel to install direct connectors. The plastic barrel is placed on the roof to form a small water storage device. A water pipe-made bath heater is connected, and a tee is installed below the water inlet pipe to connect a showerhead. A toilet is placed and its water tank is installed, fixed with glass glue. The drain pipe is connected to a sewage barrel. A water pipe is horizontally connected to the tee of the outlet pipe and extended to the doorway as the water inlet pipe for the sink. A hole is cut on the door to install a connector.
  • Solar-Powered Mobile Toilet: Some people use a water storage barrel to make a solar-powered mobile toilet, although the specific production details are not elaborated. However, it can be inferred that solar-related technologies are utilized, possibly by installing solar panels on the top of the toilet to provide energy for lighting, heating, and other equipment inside the toilet.
  • Mobile Toilet with Chemical Barrels: Find two large chemical barrels, remove the steel bars on top, and cut off the entire lids of the plastic barrels with a cutting machine. Place the two plastic barrels upside down together and fix the upper and lower iron frames. Cut out a doorway size on one side, and also cut the inner plastic barrel accordingly. Use rectangular iron sheets and screws to fix the gaps between the two plastic barrels. Drill holes at the corners of the plastic barrels to install PVC pipes, apply sealant, and cut off the excess PVC pipes. Place a toilet and install its water tank, connect and install the water inlet pipe and sink, make a showerhead with a PVC pipe and connect it for installation. Install two wooden doors with hinges and handles, extend and connect the water inlet pipe, lay the water pipe flat to the bottom of the plastic barrel, test all functions, and then connect the drain pipe to the septic tank.

Classification Method Aspect:

  • By Structural Form: They can be divided into single-structure mobile toilets and composite-structure mobile toilets. The single-structure type is relatively independent, with functions integrated into one unit; the composite-structure type may be composed of multiple parts, with a more complex functional distribution.
  • By Mobility Method: They are classified as lifting/handling mobile toilets and powered/trailer-mounted mobile toilets. Lifting/handling mobile toilets require lifting equipment or manual handling for movement; powered/trailer-mounted mobile toilets can be moved by power drive or towing vehicles.
  • By Sewage Treatment Method: They are divided into water-flush and non-water-flush suction mobile toilets, circulating water-flush mobile toilets, and dry-packing mobile toilets. Water-flush and non-water-flush suction mobile toilets treat fecal sewage through water flushing or suction; circulating water-flush mobile toilets recycle the flushing water; dry-packing mobile toilets dry-pack the feces for treatment.
