Inner Mongolia Container House Maintenance

Admin September 16, 2026

The maintenance of container houses in Inner Mongolia requires comprehensive upkeep from aspects such as safety, structure, and environment. The specific methods are as follows:

1. Electrical Safety and Power Management
Every time you leave the house, you must cut off all power supplies to avoid safety hazards caused by prolonged power-on. The use of high-power or non-compliant electrical appliances is strictly prohibited, such as electric heaters and high-power induction cookers, to prevent circuit overloads that could lead to fires. At the same time, electrical wiring must be installed in a standardized manner: Wires should not be directly tied to the steel structure; instead, they should be isolated through conduits or wire troughs to reduce the risk of electric shock and facilitate later maintenance.

2. Steel Structure and Paint Maintenance
The light steel structure of container houses is the core load-bearing component and requires regular paint maintenance. It is recommended to apply anti-rust paint every 1-2 years to slow down steel corrosion, maintain an aesthetically pleasing appearance, and extend the service life. If rust or paint peeling is found on the surface of the steel structure, it should be promptly sanded to remove rust and repainted to prevent rust from spreading and affecting structural strength.

3. Structural Stability Maintenance
After the house is installed, users are not allowed to make unauthorized structural changes, including removing bolts, adding or removing partition walls, or altering the positions of doors and windows. Such operations may disrupt the overall force balance and lead to safety hazards. If layout adjustments are needed, professional merchants must be contacted for evaluation and construction to ensure structural safety and stability.

4. Regular Inspections and Hazard Identification
Establish a regular inspection system, focusing on areas such as steel structure connections, door and window seals, and waterproof layers. If loose bolts, aging or cracked sealants, or roof leaks are found, professional personnel should be contacted immediately for repairs. Additionally, check for water accumulation on the floor and mildew on the walls, and address moisture issues promptly.

5. Waterproofing, Moisture Prevention, and Ventilation Management
Although Inner Mongolia has a dry climate, container houses still require proper waterproofing: Waterproof sealant should be applied to the joints of the roof and walls, and regular checks should be made to ensure drainage channels are not blocked. During humid seasons or rainy periods, windows should be opened for ventilation for 2-3 hours each day to maintain indoor dryness and prevent furniture and steel structures from rusting or mildewing due to moisture.

6. Cleaning and Surface Protection
Use neutral, mild cleaning agents for cleaning, avoiding strong acids, alkalis, or organic solvents that could corrode the surface coating. It is recommended to clean once a week, focusing on cleaning door and window tracks, floor dust, and stains on the surface of the steel structure. If the coating is damaged, it should be promptly repaired with paint.

7. Fire Protection and Safety Facility Configuration
Container houses must be equipped with fire extinguishers, smoke detectors, and other fire protection equipment. Fire extinguishers should be configured at a rate of one per 30-50 square meters, with at least five in each layout area, and their expiration dates should be regularly checked. A safety distance of more than 6 meters should be maintained between layout areas, and areas storing fuel should have additional firefighting personnel and be set up with isolation zones.
