Indoor Mobile Bathroom and Toilet Design
Admin October 22, 2026
Indoor mobile bathrooms and toilets can be designed and made using water storage barrels or tanks and pallets. Here are the specific design ideas:

Design Using Water Storage Barrels
- Mobile Structure Construction: Take a water storage barrel from home and split it in half lengthwise with an angle grinder. Fix universal wheels at the four corners of a wooden board to facilitate the movement of the entire device. Attach wooden strips to the upper side of the barrel with self-tapping screws to increase the height and provide space for installing other components.
- Wall and Roof Construction: Create an entrance on the side of the water storage barrel. Install sponge strips on both sides of the entrance to form a door frame and embed plastic soft boards to create raised walls. Place the upper half of the water storage barrel on top of the wooden strips to form the roof. Apply white waterproof paint to enhance aesthetics and provide waterproofing.
- Door Making: Use foam strips to拼接 (assemble) discarded honeycomb wooden boards to make a simple door.
- Drainage and Water Storage System Setup: Drill a hole at the bottom of the barrel and install a drain pipe to form a floor drain. Drill holes on the side and bottom of the plastic barrel and connect them with direct fittings. Place the plastic barrel on the roof to form a small water storage device.
- Bathing and Toilet Facility Installation: Make a bath heater with water pipes. Install a tee fitting below the inlet pipe and connect a showerhead. Place a toilet and install a water tank, securing it with glass glue. Connect the drain pipe to the sewage barrel. Horizontally connect a water pipe to the tee fitting of the outlet pipe and extend it to the entrance as the inlet pipe for the sink. Drill a hole in the door and install a fitting.
Design Using Water Storage Tanks and Pallets
- Mobile Base Preparation: Fix universal wheels at the four corners of the bottom of a pallet using tools. Place a water storage tank retrieved from a garbage station on the pallet.
- Tank Processing and Stacking: Use an angle grinder to cut along the marked line on the top of the water storage tank to remove the top and form an open-top tank. Invert another open-top water storage tank and stack it on the first one, securing the outer frames of the two tanks with self-tapping screws.
- Entrance and Drainage System Setup: Cut the outer frame and body of the water storage tank to create an entrance. Drill a hole in the floor inside the water storage tank, insert a elbow from the bottom upwards and cut in a section of water pipe. Seal the gaps with glue and then cut off the excess water pipe.
- Toilet and Washroom Facility Installation: Align the toilet with the drain hole and secure it with glue. Fix a water pipe on the wall clip and install a faucet. Connect a water pipe to the pipe cap and drill a hole as the outlet for the drain pipe. Fix a sink made of a stainless steel basin with glass glue. Connect the inlet pipe of the toilet water tank and the shower hose, install a shower bracket and a toilet seat, and install a showerhead made of a water pipe.
- Door Installation: Fix hinges on the frame of the water storage tank, with the other side of the hinges fixed to a wooden board to form a door. Install a door handle.
