Prefabricated Panel Housing in Huaiyuan County

Admin September 19, 2026

There are clear regulations in Huaiyuan County regarding the waterproofing treatment and floor slab requirements for prefabricated panel housing in dilapidated house renovations.

In terms of waterproofing treatment, the joints of the prefabricated panel roof are the key areas for waterproofing. During the splicing process of the prefabricated panels, the joints are prone to becoming potential leakage points, so they must be reinforced. The specific method involves first laying fiberglass cloth with a width of 100mm at the joints. Fiberglass cloth has good flexibility and tensile strength, effectively enhancing the structural stability of the joints and preventing joint cracking caused by building settlement or temperature changes. After laying the fiberglass cloth, a waterproof coating is applied to its surface. The waterproof coating forms a dense waterproof membrane, further preventing water penetration, thereby effectively ensuring the waterproof performance of the roof, avoiding leakage inside the house, and protecting the building structure and interior decoration from water damage.

In rural dilapidated house renovations, there are strict requirements for the floor slabs of two-story or higher dilapidated houses. The floor slabs must be installed completely with tight joints, ensuring the overall integrity and stability of the floor slabs and improving the load-bearing capacity of the building. The design and construction of the floor slabs must strictly adhere to relevant regulations to ensure they meet the designed load-bearing capacity requirements and guarantee residential safety. It is particularly important to note that in seismic fortification intensity zones of 8 degrees and above, the use of prefabricated concrete floor slabs is prohibited. This is because prefabricated concrete floor slabs are relatively weak in terms of overall integrity and seismic performance. In the event of natural disasters such as earthquakes, they are prone to detachment or collapse due to loose connections, posing a serious threat to the safety of lives and property. Therefore, when renovating dilapidated houses in these areas, more seismically resistant floor slab structural forms, such as cast-in-place concrete floor slabs, should be selected to improve the seismic capacity of the buildings and ensure a safe living environment for residents in the event of earthquakes and other disasters.
