Huaibei Container House Specifications

Admin September 13, 2026

Huaibei container house specifications mainly fall into three categories: single-box units, dual-box combined units, and specially customized sizes. Exact parameters vary by conversion base and design.

Single-box units (20-foot container conversions) are based on a standard 20-foot shipping container. Common external dimensions are 6.058 m long, 2.438 m wide, and 2.896 m high, with an interior clear space of about 5.8 m (L) × 2.35 m (W) × 2.7 m (H). Minor differences appear across sources: in some conversion cases, interior dimensions are adjusted to 5.69 m long, 2.13 m wide, and 2.18 m high, with volume in the 24–26 m³ range; other designs optimize interior length, width, and height to 5.9 m, 2.35 m, and 2.393 m respectively. These differences mainly stem from how much of the original container structure (corner castings, wall thickness, etc.) is retained and from the thickness of interior finishing materials.

Dual-box combined units (40-foot container conversions) are based on 40-foot container conversions. External dimensions are typically 12.192 m long, 2.438 m wide, and 2.896 m high, with interior space of about 11.9 m (L) × 2.35 m (W) × 2.7 m (H). By function, 40-foot containers come in standard and high-cube types: the standard type has interior dimensions of 11.8 m long, 2.13 m wide, and 2.18 m high, with a volume of 54 m³; the high-cube type raises height to 2.72 m and increases volume to 68 m³. In some conversion cases, interior dimensions are optimized to 12.035 m long, 2.350 m wide, and 2.392 m high; note that such figures may reflect clear dimensions after interior finishing.

Specially customized sizes meet specific site needs. Some companies offer non-standard customization, with common adjustments including:

  • Width expansion: increasing the standard 2.438 m width to 3 m to gain more lateral interior space;
  • Height upgrade: increasing the standard 2.896 m height to 3 m to add vertical clearance or accommodate ceiling equipment;
  • Length combinations: joining multiple containers for longer spans, while accounting for structural stability and transport limits. Custom orders should be discussed with the manufacturer in advance, with particular attention to route height and width limits and on-site lifting clearances, to avoid oversized units that cannot be installed.
