How to Weld a Container Mobile House

Admin September 15, 2026

To weld a container mobile house, first construct the steel structural framework, then weld the wall and roof panels, and finally carry out the pre-embedding of internal water and electricity pipelines and detail processing.

Welding of the Steel Structural Framework

  • Base Welding: Usually, channel steel is used as the main crossbeam. For example, 5X10 channel steel is used to weld the upper and lower bases of the container all around. For a 3m6m residential container mobile house, the chassis crossbeams can be welded using 48*2.0 square steel, with a spacing of about 35 centimeters to ensure the stability of the base.
  • Column Welding: Columns are the supporting structures of the container house, with a thickness generally not less than 1mm. They need to be pressed into shape using professional equipment, and ready-made columns are also available on the market. The welding between the columns and the four-sided ring beams of the roof should be done using full welding, such as using 552.0 square steel, to enhance the overall structural stability.

Welding of the Wall and Roof Panels

  • Material Selection: Wall and roof panels can be made of corrugated sheets and other materials, which are cut and welded according to design requirements.
  • Welding Process: During the welding process, attention should be paid to the quality of the welds to ensure they are uniform, free of pores, and cracks. For the welding of the front wall panels, side panels, and bottom panels of the container, direct current short-circuit welding can be used in conjunction with specialized welding machines to improve welding efficiency and weld quality.

Pre-embedding of Internal Water and Electricity Pipelines and Detail Processing

  • Pre-embedding of Water and Electricity Pipelines: After the welding of the steel structural framework and walls is completed, the pre-embedding of internal water and electricity pipelines should be carried out to ensure the water and electricity supply inside the house.
  • Detail Processing: This includes the installation of doors and windows, the treatment of the ceiling, the laying of fireproof floors and wooden floors, etc. These detail treatments can enhance the comfort and safety of the house. At the same time, waterproofing treatment of the house is also necessary, such as applying waterproof glue on the roof, to extend the service life of the house.
