How to Use a Portable Toilet
The method of using a portable toilet mainly depends on its specific type and structure. The following explains using a common portable toilet as an example:

Fixing and Installation
Portable toilets usually come with a snap-on design. Before use, they need to be fixed properly. Locate the snap positions on the toilet, press them down firmly, and ensure both snaps are securely fastened. This prevents the toilet from wobbling or shifting during use. To remove the toilet, simply press both snaps simultaneously to loosen and take it off.
Usage Process
- Open the Toilet Lid: Simply open the lid of the toilet. Some toilet lids may be flip-top, while others may be slide-out types. Operate according to the specific design.
- Pull Out the Flushing Device: Pull out the flushing device inside the toilet. For some toilets, the flushing device is connected to the toilet seat, and flushing can be performed directly after pulling it out.
- Fill with Water and Flush: Fill the toilet with an appropriate amount of water. Once filled, press the flush button or pull the flush cord to create a flushing effect, directing the waste into the black water tank below.
Post-Use Handling
- Remove the Toilet: After use, follow the removal method mentioned earlier. Press both snaps simultaneously to take the toilet off its fixed position.
- Clean the Black Water Tank: Portable toilets are generally equipped with a black water tank at the bottom to collect waste. Locate the discharge port of the black water tank, open it, and empty the waste. After emptying, it's advisable to rinse the black water tank with clean water to maintain cleanliness and prevent odors.
Other Considerations
Different types of portable toilets may vary in size, function, and structure. For example, some portable toilets are 1.1 meters wide, 2.3 meters tall, and equipped with facilities such as light bulb sockets, ventilation fans, air outlets, and flush tanks. Operations can be carried out according to specific needs. Additionally, portable toilets can be classified by structural form into single-structure and composite-structure portable toilets; by mobility into hoisting/transportable, powered/trailer-mounted portable toilets; and by wastewater treatment method into water-flush and waterless-flush suction-type, and circulating water-flush portable toilets. Usage methods and maintenance points may vary for different types.
