How to Use Mobile Toilets in Shopping Malls
Admin October 08, 2026
The use of mobile toilets in shopping malls should follow a scientific and standardized process, which is divided into four stages: preparation before use, operation during use, tidying up after use, and maintenance by the management:

I. Preparation Before Use
- Check the Stability of Placement: Before entering, ensure that the mobile toilet is firmly placed on a flat ground without any tilting or shaking. If the equipment is not placed stably, it may tip over due to external forces, posing a safety hazard.
- Check System Connections:
- Water-flush Type Equipment: Check that the water pipe connections are secure and confirm there are no leaks. The sealing of the sewage pipes should be intact to prevent sewage overflow or odor diffusion.
- Non-water-flush Type Equipment: Confirm in advance that the feces collection device (such as a feces collection box) is empty and check that the odor control measures (such as sealing lids and deodorants) are in place to prevent odor overflow during use.
- Observe Signs: Confirm the type of restroom (such as men's, women's, or accessible restrooms) and its availability status through external indicator signs to avoid entering the wrong one or experiencing inconvenience due to equipment failure.
II. Operation During Use
- Enter According to Signs: Choose the corresponding restroom according to the signs. After entering, close the door and confirm that the locking device is functioning properly to ensure the privacy and safety of the user.
- Follow Operating Instructions:
- Flush Device: Start the manual or sensor-based flush according to the instructions posted inside to ensure the cleanliness of the toilet.
- Hand-washing Equipment: When using hand soap, press an appropriate amount to avoid waste. For hand-drying equipment (such as hand dryers or paper towel dispensers), operate as needed to keep hands dry.
- Prohibit Disposing of Debris: It is strictly prohibited to throw items other than paper towels into the toilet (such as cigarette butts, plastic bottles, sanitary napkins, etc.). Such debris may clog the pipes or damage the equipment, increasing maintenance costs.
III. Tidying Up After Use
- Close and Lock the Door: Before leaving, confirm that the door is fully closed and the locking device is in place to prevent subsequent users from entering by mistake or exposing the equipment to the external environment.
- Maintain Cleanliness: Do not scribble or post advertisements on the inner walls or facilities of the restroom. Dispose of used garbage in designated trash cans to avoid polluting the environment or affecting the experience of other users.
IV. Maintenance by the Management
The shopping mall should arrange for dedicated personnel to regularly inspect the mobile toilets and focus on completing the following tasks:
- Replenish Consumables: Timely replace consumables such as toilet paper and hand soap to avoid affecting user needs due to shortages.
- Clear Garbage: Regularly empty the feces collection device (for non-water-flush types) or trash cans (for water-flush types) to prevent odor diffusion or bacterial growth.
- Disinfect: Disinfect high-frequency contact areas (such as door handles, flush buttons, and hand-washing sinks) to reduce the risk of cross-infection and ensure public health and safety.
