How to Use a Mobile Folding Toilet

Admin October 06, 2026

The usage methods of mobile folding toilets vary depending on their types, and specific operations should be carried out according to the product type. Here are the common types and their usage instructions:

1. Portable movable toilet (with black water tank) This type of toilet usually consists of three parts: the toilet body, the black water tank (for storing waste), and the water tank (for flushing). During installation, the toilet body and the black water tank should be fixed with a buckle structure. Some designs require pressing the buckles on both sides simultaneously to separate the black water tank. When using, simply open the seat ring, and after using the toilet, fill the water tank with water and press the flush button to clean the inner wall of the toilet. The black water tank is designed to be movable and needs to be cleaned regularly: first separate the tank, pour out the waste, and then rinse it with clean water. If necessary, add a special deodorant. When reinstalling, ensure that the buckles are fully locked. This type of toilet is suitable for temporary household use or RV travel. Pay attention to the capacity of the black water tank to avoid overflow.

2. Disposable folding toilet (such as the German-designed model) This type of toilet is designed with portability and emergency use in mind. When unfolded, it resembles a leaf and is filled with a highly absorbent polymer (such as SAP) inside, which can quickly convert urine into an odorless gel. Solid waste needs to be used with garbage bags. When using, first unfold the toilet body and pinch the outer edge tightly to prevent tipping over. No additional flushing or power supply is required. After use, seal the waste in the garbage bag, fold the toilet body back to its original shape (it can be reduced to the size of a chocolate bar), and discard it directly into the trash can. This type of toilet is suitable for outdoor hiking, disaster relief, and other scenarios without sanitary facilities, but pay attention to environmental protection requirements and avoid indiscriminate disposal.

3. Buckle-type folding toilet (camping model) This type of toilet is designed for camping scenarios and usually includes a toilet body, a stand, a black water tank, and accessories (such as a phone holder and a toilet paper holder). During installation, unfold the stand and fix each component with buckles to ensure stability; some products require aligning the black water tank with the toilet body and pressing to lock it. When using, it is similar to an ordinary toilet, but be careful to avoid violent shaking that may loosen the buckles. When folding, first separate the black water tank, empty the waste, and then fold the stand in reverse order. Some products can be compressed into a flat shape for easy carrying. This type of toilet is suitable for self-driving camping or long-term outdoor activities. Regularly check the wear of the buckles.

Precautions:

  • Read the product manual carefully before use to confirm the installation order of components and the position of the buckles;
  • The black water tank needs to be cleaned regularly to avoid odors or bacterial growth caused by long-term storage;
  • Disposable toilets should be disposed of in accordance with local environmental protection regulations and should not be discarded indiscriminately in the natural environment;
  • Camping toilets should be used on flat ground to prevent tipping over.
