How to Use Car Mobile Toilets

Admin October 02, 2026

The usage methods of car mobile toilets vary depending on their types, as detailed below:

Vehicle-mounted Mobile Toilets (e.g., for self-driving camping)

These toilets are generally designed to be simple, with the main features of being easy to carry and use. When using, simply unscrew the lid on top of the toilet to create a relatively enclosed space for using the toilet. Its internal structure may include a container that can hold excrement. Some products are also equipped with simple odor-proof devices or sealing lids to reduce odor emission. After use, it is necessary to promptly clean the excrement in the container and ensure proper sealing to prevent odor leakage and environmental pollution. If used in the wild, the cleaned excrement should be disposed of properly in accordance with environmental protection requirements to avoid damaging the natural environment.

Bus Mobile Toilets

  • Basic Working Principle: The core of a bus mobile toilet is a sealed fecal storage tank. When a passenger presses the flush button, the system activates a small vacuum pump, which uses negative pressure to quickly suck the waste from the toilet bowl into the fecal storage tank. This design not only uses a small amount of water but also effectively prevents odor leakage. Some newer bus models add biodegradable agents to the fecal storage tank to help decompose solid waste, extend the service life of the tank, and reduce the frequency of cleaning.
  • Usage Precautions: Since the vehicle will shake during travel, passengers using the bus mobile toilet should try to hold onto the handrails to ensure their safety and avoid falling and getting injured due to the shaking. At the same time, do not throw items other than toilet paper into the toilet, especially feminine hygiene products and diapers, etc. These items are difficult to be sucked into the fecal storage tank by the vacuum pump and can easily cause pipe blockages, affecting the normal use of the toilet. In addition, if you find that the flush is not smooth or the indicator light shows that the fecal storage tank is full during use, promptly inform the bus staff so that they can arrange professional cleaning and maintenance work to ensure the continuous normal use of the toilet.
