How to Transport Mobile Toilets

Admin September 21, 2026

The method of transporting mobile toilets should be selected based on their type and structural characteristics, which can be divided into the following three categories:

I. Transporting Packaged Mobile Toilets
The core of these toilets is an independent sewage storage tank or mechanical packaging device, and they need to be handled in modules during transportation. For the sewage in the storage tank, a professional sewage suction truck should be dispatched to pump and transfer it through a hose, or a forklift or small crane can be used to lift the entire sewage storage tank module and transport it away, replacing it with an empty tank. The toilet body itself can be lifted and transported as a whole, but it is usually placed on a flat surface as a "semi-permanent" facility. If the body needs to be moved, lifting equipment should be used to lift it steadily and move it slowly to the target location, avoiding violent shaking or impact to prevent frame deformation or wall damage. In addition, before transportation, the sanitary ware in the toilet (such as toilets and sinks) and auxiliary components (such as lighting equipment and ventilation ducts) should be fixed to prevent loosening or falling off.

II. Transporting Trailer-Type Mobile Toilets
Trailer-type toilets are equipped with standard wheels and a sturdy steel frame at the bottom. To transfer them, simply connect a regular towing vehicle to the trailer hook and tow them to any accessible road destination like a trailer. Upon arrival at the new location, the support legs should be lowered and the body leveled to ensure stability during use. The transportation of these toilets depends on road conditions, and a flat, obstacle-free route should be selected to avoid body shaking caused by sharp turns or bumpy sections. Before transportation, the firmness of the wheels, braking system, and trailer device should be checked to prevent decoupling or rollover during transportation.

III. General Transportation Specifications and Equipment Selection
Regardless of the type, the transportation of mobile toilets should follow the following principles:

  1. Equipment Matching: Select transportation tools based on the self-weight and size of the toilet. For example, light toilets can be lifted and transported from the bottom using a forklift; heavy toilets require a crane to be lifted through the top lifting eyes; if the toilet is designed with specific interfaces, it can be fixed and moved using a dedicated transportation device.
  2. Operation Specifications: During transportation, lift steadily and move slowly to avoid violent shaking or impact. When lifting, ensure that the lifting rope is firmly connected to the lifting eyes to prevent slipping; when transporting with a forklift, adjust the height of the pallet to keep the body level.
  3. Component Fixing: Before transportation, check whether all movable components in the toilet (such as partitions, handrails, and storage cabinets) are fixed to prevent damage or falling off due to vibration during transportation.

In addition, if the mobile toilet has not been used for a long time, the residual liquid in the water tank and sewage storage tank should be emptied before transportation to avoid leakage and environmental pollution. For intelligent toilets with many electronic components, the power supply should be cut off and moisture-proof treatment should be carried out.
