How to Store Foldable Mobile Toilets

Admin October 08, 2026

The storage of foldable mobile toilets should follow standardized procedures to ensure hygiene and safety and extend the lifespan of the equipment. The specific steps are as follows:

1. Immediate Handling After Use
After use, the excreta should be sealed immediately. If the toilet is equipped with a dedicated garbage bag or collection bag, the bag opening should be tightly sealed. If it has a lid design, the lid should be closed promptly to block the spread of odors. This step can effectively reduce odors and bacterial growth, creating conditions for subsequent cleaning and storage.

2. Proper Disposal of Excreta
The mainstream disposal methods are divided into two categories:

  • Portable toilets/collection bags: After defecation, a coagulant or deodorant should be added to solidify the excreta and reduce odors. Then, the bag opening should be sealed and placed in a dedicated garbage bag for disposal.
  • Biodegradable system equipment: Follow the instructions for operation. The liquid part should be discharged through a dedicated pipeline to a designated area, and the solid part should be recycled by a professional agency or disposed of according to the instructions. It is strictly prohibited to discharge untreated excreta directly into the natural environment to avoid polluting the soil and water sources.

3. Equipment Cleaning and Deodorization
After removing the sealed waste, the toilet bowl or inner bucket should be thoroughly cleaned:

  • Use a damp cloth with dish detergent or a dedicated cleaner to wipe the surface. For stubborn stains, a cleaner containing decontamination and disinfection ingredients or a mixture of baking soda and white vinegar (in a 1:1 ratio) can be used.
  • If the equipment contains electronic components (such as an automatic flushing device), do not rinse it directly with water. Just wipe the surface with a damp cloth.
  • Before each use, a small amount of deodorizing gel or disinfectant pad can be placed in the inner bucket in advance to further suppress odors and bacterial growth.

4. Drying and Inspection
After cleaning, ensure that all key parts (especially the folding joints and around the electronic components) are completely dry to prevent bacterial growth in a humid environment or rusting of metal parts. At the same time, regularly check whether the folding joints are loose. If the structure is unstable, adjust or repair it promptly to ensure that the equipment is in a stable state during storage.

5. Easy Storage
After the equipment is completely dry, choose a storage method according to its type:

  • Folding toilets: Fold them in the designed direction and lock the buckles to fix the structure.
  • Packing toilets: Fold them and put them into a dedicated storage bag. Be careful not to exceed the product's weight limit to prevent bag damage.

Long-term Storage Precautions

  • The storage environment should be dry and well-ventilated, avoiding direct sunlight or high-temperature environments to prevent plastic aging or metal rusting.
  • The support structure and consumables (such as storage bags and coagulants) should be stored separately. The support structure should be cleaned and dried before storage, and the consumables should be regularly checked for their expiration dates and replaced in a timely manner.
