How to Solve Excessive Heat in a Sunroom in Summer
Winter sun in a sunroom is delightful—but summer brings intense light and heat, turning the space into a sauna. Even above 30°C outdoors, indoors can reach 50–60°C. How do you solve this?

Skylights: Install roof skylights during construction. Heat rises—opening skylights vents hot air. Pair with side windows for cross-ventilation. Use quality skylight materials to prevent leaks.
External shading: Shade nets or umbrellas on the roof lower temperature but may obscure aesthetics and outdoor views.
Insulating film: Reflective films on glass block solar heat and UV, reducing fading while maintaining transparency. Have films installed by qualified professionals.
Misting systems: Water spray absorbs heat and can auto-clean glass roofs.
Air conditioning: HVAC cools in summer and heats in winter—best as supplementary comfort, not the sole solution.
