How to Repair a Broken Mobile Toilet Door
Repairing a broken mobile toilet door requires addressing specific fault types. Here are solutions to common problems:

1. Pulley Failure
If the door is difficult to push, jams, or makes friction sounds, check the pulleys first. Grasp the lower third of the door with both hands, lift it upward and backward to disengage the upper frame from the track. Use an Allen wrench to unscrew the caster screws and inspect the manganese steel spring clips for breakage. If broken, replace the spring clips individually or replace the entire wheel set (stainless steel is recommended for durability). When installing new pulleys, use a tool to lift the wheels into the track, align the threaded holes, and tighten the screws for later adjustment. If the upper wheel is damaged, select a center or eccentric wheel that matches the old wheel or profile. To install, first place the door on the upper track, then lift the door body to insert the lower wheel into the track. If it cannot be positioned, use one hand to lift the frame and the other to press the caster while moving it into the track.
2. Uneven Door Gaps
If the gap between the door and the wall is smaller at the bottom and larger at the top when closed, adjust the right caster screw to raise the door body for correction. Use an Allen wrench to turn the screw clockwise to raise the door and counterclockwise to lower it. After adjustment, repeatedly open and close the door to test for even gaps.
3. Door Installation Issues
If the door frame is tilted, causing uneven pressure on the pulleys, use a level to measure the frame's verticality. If tilted, loosen the fixing screws and adjust the frame's position to ensure it is perpendicular to the ground before re-fixing it. Finally, repair the pulley fault. This step requires two people to cooperate to prevent the door from slipping.
4. Other Faults
If the door handle cannot be pressed but still locks when closed, it may be a door lock mechanism fault. Remove the door lock panel to inspect the lock body or connecting parts for breakage or deformation, and replace the lock core or connecting rod if necessary. If the track is clogged with dust, causing jamming, use a vacuum cleaner or soft brush to clean the track, then spray a dedicated lubricant (such as silicone-based lubricant) to reduce friction.
Precautions Before Repair:
- Observe the door's operating condition (such as the location of jamming, tilt direction, and source of abnormal noise), and use a phone flashlight to check the track for dust or foreign objects.
- Wear gloves and goggles during operation to avoid being scratched by metal parts or having lubricant splash into your eyes.
- If the pulley bearing is damaged, replace the pulley directly; if the track is severely deformed, contact a professional for repair or replacement.
