How to Place Container Houses Stably
To ensure the stable placement of container houses, comprehensive measures must be taken regarding the foundation, installation method, securing measures, and component connections. Specific measures are as follows:

1. Foundation Preparation
The foundation is the cornerstone of a stable container house and must be level and solid. Before construction, thoroughly clear the ground of debris and use level measurements to ensure uniform height across the installation area, preventing house tilt due to ground undulations. Depending on the container specifications, steel structures can be embedded or concrete foundations poured to enhance overall load-bearing capacity. For example, on soft soil foundations, pile driving or expanding the foundation area can improve stability, preventing house deformation due to foundation settlement.
2. Vertical Installation
Containers must be installed strictly vertically to ensure reasonable layout and easy maintenance of supporting facilities (such as pipes and wires). During installation, use a level to check the tilt and promptly correct any non-vertical issues caused by hole misalignment or dimensional errors. If the house is composed of multiple containers spliced together, ensure each unit is vertically aligned to avoid affecting overall stability due to misalignment.
3. Secure Fixing Measures
- Ground Fixing: On a solid foundation, use expansion screws or anchor bolts to fix the bottom of the container to the ground, preventing sliding or displacement.
- Angle Iron Reinforcement: Install angle iron with a thickness of ≥5mm and a length of ≥1.5m at the four corners of the house, connecting it to the container with bolts to enhance wind resistance. The angle iron should be made of corrosion-resistant steel, and the connections should be regularly checked for looseness.
- Steel Wire Rope Reinforcement: For multi-story container houses, use 304 stainless steel wire ropes with a diameter of ≥6mm to secure the connections between upper and lower floors, improving overall structural strength. The wire ropes should be kept taut to prevent shaking caused by slackness.
4. Component Connection and Sealing
Doors, windows, floors, and walls should be tightly connected to ensure sealing, preventing rainwater leakage or air infiltration. Electrical and pipe connections should be handled by professionals to avoid safety hazards caused by improper installation. For example, pipe connections should use sealing gaskets, and wires should be protected by conduits and firmly fixed.
5. Special Scenario Handling
If the house needs to be frequently disassembled and moved, an adjustable foundation fixing method can be adopted: install detachable adjustable foundations at the four corners to ensure stability while facilitating relocation. Additionally, regularly check the tightness of bolts, steel wire ropes, and angle iron, and promptly replace aged or damaged components to extend the service life of the house.
