How to Open the Door of a Container House

Admin September 16, 2026

The method of opening the door of a container house depends on its specific design. Common types include side-opening doors, end-opening doors (tail doors), and other special opening methods. Safety procedures must be strictly followed during operation.

1. Common Door Types and Operating Steps

  1. Side-Opening Door

    • Features: The door is located on the side of the container, facilitating daily entry and exit, and is suitable for spacious locations.
    • Operating Steps:
      • Ensure the container is parked stably with no obstacles around.
      • Locate the door handle and lift it upwards, then rotate it 90 degrees (parallel to the door).
      • Push the door to the right until it is fully open.
      • To close, reverse the operation: pull the door to the right to align with the side of the container, rotate the door handle 90 degrees (perpendicular to the door), and confirm the lock is secure.
  2. End-Opening Door (Tail Door)

    • Features: The door is located at one end of the container, usually designed as a double door, facilitating the loading and unloading of large goods.
    • Operating Steps:
      • First, open the right-side door, with the operator standing approximately 30-50 centimeters in front.
      • Slowly open it by 5-20 centimeters to confirm no goods will fall out before fully opening.
      • Secure the door to the hook on the side of the container to prevent晃动 (shaking) caused by external forces such as wind.
      • Follow the same steps for the left-side door.
  3. Other Special Opening Methods

    • Top-Opening Door: Located at the top, it requires special equipment (such as a crane) to open and is suitable for transporting heavy equipment.
    • Wing-Type Opening Door: Both sides or the top can fully unfold, requiring operation according to the designed unfolding mechanism, commonly seen in logistics containers.
    • Roller Shutter Door/Sliding Door: Opens along a track or in a roller shutter style, saving space. Ensure the track is clear during operation.

2. Safety Precautions

  • Pre-Operation Inspection:
    • Confirm that door locks, hinges, and other components are intact to avoid jamming or damage.
    • Wear personal protective equipment (such as a safety helmet and gloves) to prevent accidental scratches or injuries.
  • During Opening:
    • Maintain a safe distance to prevent goods from falling out or the door from suddenly closing.
    • Open and close gently to prevent excessive force from deforming the door lock or door panel.
  • Special Scenarios:
    • If dangerous goods (such as chemicals) are loaded, open slightly first to confirm safety before fully opening.
    • In adverse weather conditions (such as strong winds or heavy rain), close doors and windows promptly to prevent wind and rain damage.

3. Maintenance Recommendations

  • Regularly clean dust from door seams and locks to ensure smooth opening and closing.
  • Apply anti-rust treatment (such as anti-rust paint) to the door panel to extend its service life.
  • If problems occur (such as door jamming or lock failure), stop operation immediately and seek professional help to avoid damage caused by forced operation.

Choosing the appropriate door-opening method based on the specific design of the container and strictly following safety operating procedures can effectively reduce risks and ensure safe use.
