Introduction to Mobile Toilets

Admin September 26, 2026

Mobile toilets are facilities that can be moved as a whole and provide toilet services to the public. They are suitable for a variety of locations and come in multiple types with distinct features.

Suitable Locations

Mobile toilets have an extremely wide range of suitable locations, including transportation hubs such as stations and docks, facilitating travelers in resolving toilet needs during their journeys. They can meet the demands of a large number of tourists at tourist attractions, enhancing the tourism experience. They also provide convenience for residents in villa areas and newly built residential communities. On large construction sites, they can solve the toilet problems for workers. In public places with high foot traffic like squares, densely populated areas, and bustling commercial streets, they can effectively alleviate toilet pressure.

Composition Structure

Generally, they consist of a fecal sewage storage tank (or fecal sewage treatment device), flooring, sanitary ware, walls, washing equipment, water tanks, roofs, and mobile devices. Initially, they were made of materials like wood, with simple structures and functions, and were prone to absorbing odors. Nowadays, they have gradually evolved to use materials such as fiberglass and polyethylene, improving durability and odor resistance.

Type Classification

  • By structural form: They are divided into single-structure mobile toilets and composite-structure mobile toilets. Single-structure ones are relatively independent and simple, while composite-structure ones are more complex and may have more functions or accommodate more people simultaneously.
  • By mobility method: There are lifting and handling-type mobile toilets, which rely on lifting equipment or manual handling for movement. Power-driven and towed-type mobile toilets can be moved by power propulsion or being towed by vehicles, offering higher flexibility.
  • By sewage treatment method: They include water-flush and waterless-flush suction-type mobile toilets. The former uses water for flushing, while the latter treats feces through suction. Recirculating water-flush mobile toilets can recycle flushing water, saving water resources. Dry-packing mobile toilets pack feces for treatment without using water.

Specifications and Facilities

Some mobile toilets have a length and width of 1.1 meters and a height of 2.3 meters, equipped with facilities such as light bulb sockets, ventilation fans, air outlets, and flush tanks. There are also independent single rooms with flushing devices, washbasins, and lighting facilities, providing a relatively comfortable environment for users.

Features and Advantages

They can be conveniently transported to any location where toilets need to be set up and can be used repeatedly. They have the advantages of being movable, combinable, and easy to transport, allowing for flexible layout adjustments according to different scenarios and needs.
