How to Make the Roof of a Container Panel House
The methods for constructing the roof of a container panel house vary depending on the structural type. Here are the roof treatment methods for several common types:

Light steel keel panel house: When constructing a light steel keel panel house, the key to roof closure lies in the installation and waterproofing of the light steel keels. First, install the light steel keels according to the design requirements to ensure a stable keel structure. The keels are fixed with bolts to enhance the connection's firmness. When laying the keels, their direction should be slightly inclined relative to the horizontal direction. This design aims to prevent water accumulation on the roof and ensure smooth drainage of rainwater. After completing the keel installation, cover with waterproof materials, such as waterproof membranes or waterproof coatings, to form an effective waterproof layer and protect the roof from rainwater erosion.
Glass fiber reinforced plastic panel house: For the roof closure of a glass fiber reinforced plastic panel house, first, cut the glass fiber reinforced plastic panels to ensure that the panel dimensions match the roof structure. Subsequently, connect the cut glass fiber reinforced plastic panels to form a complete roof covering layer. During the connection process, ensure the sealing between the panels to prevent rainwater leakage. After connection, fix the glass fiber reinforced plastic panels on top of the steel support structure. The fixing method can be bolts or welding to ensure the panels are stable. Additionally, to prevent roof deformation or cracking due to the expansion and contraction of the glass fiber reinforced plastic panels caused by temperature changes, reasonable temperature joints should be considered in the design to release temperature stress.
Green roof: When designing a green roof, first, reinforce the roof structure by adding steel beams or wooden frames to transfer the roof weight to the four corner columns, ensuring that the roof can withstand the additional weight of plants and soil. The roof layer should be treated in layers, with the installation of a waterproof membrane, root barrier, drainage layer, filter fabric, lightweight soil, and plants in sequence. The waterproof membrane prevents moisture from penetrating into the roof structure; the root barrier stops plant roots from penetrating the waterproof layer; the drainage layer ensures that excess water can drain smoothly; the filter fabric prevents soil loss; the lightweight soil provides a growing environment for plants; the plants should be cold-resistant and able to survive in shallow soil, such as succulents like Sedum or local grasses and wildflowers. At the same time, proper drainage design is necessary to prevent water accumulation on the roof, which could damage the plants and roof structure.
General roof system: The general roof system is located on top of the container body and serves functions such as waterproofing, thermal insulation, drainage, and protection. Its typical components include roof panels, usually made of sandwich panels or single-layer profiled steel sheets similar to wall panels. The installation of the roof panels must ensure a tight connection with the roof structure to form a continuous waterproof layer. At the same time, the roof's thermal insulation performance should be considered, and appropriate thermal insulation materials, such as polystyrene boards or rock wool boards, should be selected to reduce heat transfer and improve indoor comfort.
