How to Make the Base of a Mobile Toilet

Admin October 11, 2026

The production and installation of the base of a mobile toilet should follow standardized procedures to ensure a stable structure and safe use. The specific steps are as follows:

I. Tool and Material Preparation

Prepare basic tools and suitable materials in advance:

  • Tools: Screwdrivers (for fixing screws), electric drills (for drilling holes to install expansion tubes), spirit levels (for checking the flatness of the installation surface), tape measures (for measuring dimensions).
  • Materials: Angle steel (as the main body of the base frame, to be cut according to the toilet size), expansion tubes (for fixing the base to the ground), sealant (for filling gaps to prevent leaks), shock-absorbing rubber pads or spring shock absorbers (to reduce equipment vibration during operation), expansion bolts (choose the length according to the ground material, e.g., longer bolts are needed for concrete floors).
  • Other requirements: Check that all materials are intact. Avoid using deformed or rusty angle steel and ensure that the sealant is not expired.

II. Base Frame Production

  1. Material Cutting and Welding: Weld angle steel into a rectangular frame according to the dimensions (e.g., length, width, and height) of the mobile toilet. For example, if the bottom dimensions of the toilet are 1.2m×1.5m, the four sides of the frame should be cut into 1.2m and 1.5m angle steel respectively and connected into a closed structure by electric welding. Ensure that the joints are flat during welding to avoid burrs or false welding.
  2. Drain Outlet Positioning: Mark the position of the drain outlet on the frame, which should be aligned with the drain hole on the back panel of the toilet. If the toilet is designed with a squat pan, accurately measure the distance from the center of the drain outlet to the edges of the frame (e.g., 30cm from the back edge and 20cm from the side edge) to ensure smooth connection with the pipes during subsequent installation.

III. Installation Steps

  1. Ground Preparation: Clean the installation area, remove debris and dust, and use a spirit level to check if the ground is level. If the ground slope exceeds 5°, use cement leveling or add pads for adjustment to prevent the base from shaking after installation.
  2. Base Positioning and Fixing:
    • Place the welded base frame flat on the ground and adjust its position so that the drain outlet is aligned with the drain hole on the back panel.
    • Use an electric drill to drill holes at the four corners and the middle of the frame (the hole diameter should match the expansion tube). Insert the expansion tubes and then fix the base to the ground with expansion bolts. If the ground is tiled or wooden, apply anti-crack stickers at the drilling points to prevent cracking.
  3. Shock Absorber Installation:
    • If shock absorption is required, install shock-absorbing rubber pads or spring shock absorbers between the base and the ground. The rubber pads should completely cover the contact surface of the base, and the spring shock absorbers should be adjusted to the same height to ensure the equipment is level.
    • After installation, use a spirit level to check again. If any tilt is found, adjust the height of the shock absorbers or re-fix the base to correct it.
  4. Sealing Treatment: Apply sealant at the connection between the base and the back panel to fill the gaps and prevent sewage leakage. The sealant should be applied evenly with a thickness of about 2-3mm. Do not use the toilet until the sealant is completely cured (usually takes 24 hours).
