How to Make Container Houses

Admin September 16, 2026

The manufacturing process of container houses involves multiple key steps, requiring a combination of structural construction, functional optimization, and modular design, with the specific process as follows:

1. Floor Manufacturing Based on a base plate made of poly-ink board, floorboards are nailed to form a wooden frame structure, enhancing load-bearing capacity. Subsequently, glass fiber is laid as an insulation layer to prevent heat loss and moisture penetration. Then, a layer of rough flooring is covered, and tile adhesive with anti-freeze and anti-mold functions is applied. Finally, flooring or tiles are laid to ensure a flat and durable surface.

2. Wall Manufacturing Vertical support frames are formed by nailing uprights every 40 centimeters on the resin board; crossbars are used to reserve window spaces, ensuring lighting needs. After reinforcing structural strength with steel nails, adhesive is sprayed, and plywood is bonded beneath the wall structure, followed by secondary fixation with steel nails to ensure wall stability and good sealing.

3. Wall and Floor Installation The manufactured walls are erected on the floor, ensuring that the outer wall of the plywood extends beyond the edge of the floor for covered sealing to prevent rainwater infiltration. Double fixation with adhesive and steel nails enhances overall structural stability.

4. Roof Installation A layered construction method is adopted: first, a fiberboard ceiling is laid as the base layer, followed by a plastic film barrier forming a waterproof layer; when installing roof purlins, the edges are designed to be sloped for drainage, and wire holes are reserved for subsequent wiring. Finally, the roof structure is framed with墩板 (assuming it means some kind of support board, if not, please replace with the correct term), and wiring is completed to ensure functionality and safety.

5. Interior Equipment and Sound Insulation Treatment Glass fiber wool is filled between the uprights to form a sound insulation layer, improving living comfort; after laying a plastic film barrier, smooth wooden boards are installed as wall panels, balancing aesthetics and practicality. For prefabricated container houses, manufacturers pre-reserve window and door positions, enabling quick assembly through stacking during installation, shortening the construction period.

6. Insulation and Fire-Resistant Treatment 10-centimeter-thick polyurethane insulation boards (extra-hard foam boards) are added to the exterior walls. This material combines insulation and fire-resistant properties, and during manufacturing, fire-resistant raw materials are added to further enhance safety, adapting to usage needs under different climatic conditions.

7. Foundation Construction (Optional) If spiral pile foundations are used, special machinery is required to directly screw steel piles 2 meters into the ground (no pre-drilling needed), with each pile capable of supporting approximately 5 tons of weight. Stability is verified by real-time measurement of pressure and torque. After the container is welded into a whole,丁腈橡胶基铝箔胶带 (butyl nitrile rubber-based aluminum foil tape) is used to seal edge joints, preventing air and water leakage.

8. Modular Combination (Optional) Modular box-type houses use standard components welded from special section steel, with boxes connected by bolts. They can be used individually or combined horizontally and vertically to form three-story buildings, flexibly adapting to diverse scenarios such as temporary housing and office spaces.
