How to Make a Color-Steel Mobile Toilet

Admin October 16, 2026

Making a color-steel mobile toilet can be achieved through three methods: professional factory production, simple assembly, or DIY structural reference. The appropriate method should be selected based on the usage scenario, technical conditions, and cost requirements.

I. Professional Factory Production Process (Suitable for Long-Term Use Scenarios)

  1. Material Selection
The core material is double-sided hot-dip galvanized color-coated steel plate, which forms a zinc-iron alloy layer for rust prevention through continuous hot-dip galvanizing. The surface is coated with a polymer polyester or fluorocarbon coating for UV resistance. In regions like Gansu, where there are large temperature differences between day and night and alkaline soil, color-coated steel plates with an aluminum-zinc coating on the surface should be selected to enhance corrosion resistance.

  2. Skeleton Welding
Cold-formed thin-walled steel sections are used and connected into a cage-like frame through resistance welding or gas shielded welding. Precise control of welding heat input is required to prevent deformation. In Gansu, carbon dioxide shielded welding is used, achieving a tensile strength of over 85% of the base material at the weld points, ensuring structural stability.

  3. Wall Panel and Skeleton Composite
The cut and shaped color-coated steel plates are fixed to the skeleton with self-tapping and self-drilling screws. Neutral silicone sealant is filled at the joints, and waterproof strips are added to form a double barrier. In Gansu, a labyrinth-style slot design is used in conjunction with ethylene propylene diene monomer rubber seals, achieving an airtightness level that meets the third-grade standard for building envelopes, suitable for windy and sandy environments.

  4. Chassis Manufacturing
The main frame is welded from rectangular steel tubes, with a checkered steel plate laid on top and coated with anti-corrosion asphalt paint. The bottom is equipped with a universal wheel adjustment system or adjustable support feet, balancing mobility and stability.

  5. Internal System Assembly

    • Water-saving flushing device: Connected to a freeze-proof septic tank via a siphon-type sewage pipe, the water consumption per flush is controlled below 1.8 liters, suitable for cold regions.
    • Ventilation system: Designed with bidirectional fresh air flow, the air inlet is equipped with an activated carbon filter layer, and the air outlet is connected to UPVC pipes, achieving over 15 air exchanges per hour to reduce odors.
    • Septic treatment: In Gansu, a composite bacterial agent is added to the septic tank, achieving a 70% decomposition rate of organic waste within 72 hours, with the output meeting reuse standards.

II. Simple Assembly Method (Suitable for Temporary Construction Sites)

  1. Material Assembly
Purchase color-coated steel materials separately and assemble them using bolts or rivets, ensuring a firm and stable connection. Special attention should be paid to the waterproofing of the joints.

  2. Sewage System Setup

    • Water-flush direct-discharge type: Requires connection to a septic tank and should be installed near the sewage discharge area, suitable for sites with municipal sewage networks.
    • Self-contained fixed-type fecal storage tank: Equipped with a large-capacity fecal storage tank, regularly emptied by a fecal suction truck for treatment, suitable for remote areas.
    • Drawer-type fecal storage tank: The fecal storage tank can be drawn out and lined with special garbage bags for easy cleaning by packing and removing them.
    • Mechanical packaging type: No water is required; plastic film is used instead of water to treat waste, suitable for waterless environments such as deserts and plateaus.

III. Precautions

Professional production must strictly adhere to material science, structural mechanics, and industrial process control to ensure mobility, environmental adaptability, and airtightness. For simple assembly, special consideration should be given to the matching of the sewage system with the usage scenario to avoid secondary pollution.
